I chose this light to put up on my hay barn where I didn’t want something super large and I didn’t want to hassle with a separate solar panel. I also neede something that could handle the elements, since I planned on putting it where there is no shelter from the elements. It is a very heavy duty unit and works well.

I didn’t realize that this sensor light was cool white. The lighting is quite blinding when visually looking at it but it does give you ample amount of light to see quite the distance. The motion detection is quite sensitive – giving you 100% brightness when movement is detected and stays idle on 30% brightness all throughout. As we head closer to less sunlight, I’m unable to truly see if this solar panel truly is from dusk to dawn so i’ll keep that area open and provide an update when I can depending on the weather. I was hoping to have this hang on one of my vinyl fences but find it to be rather heavy so this is now hung near a brick wall instead. I think design wise, it could have been atheistically improved because it just looks so boxy and large.

I have 2 smaller solar lights that illuminate the 4 front steps up to my front deck. They are the kind that are affixed to fairly flimsy single plastic spikes. The guy who mows my lawn has run into them over and over, repeatedly breaking the spikes, and now they are so low into the ground (on what remains of the spikes) that they no longer illuminate the 4 front steps.
That is why I ordered this larger solar light. I have a large 2-foot-tall limestone post embedded in the ground about 2 feet in front of the bottom step, and I managed to attach this light so that the solar panels are on the top of the post and the light itself is on the side of the post, facing the 4 steps. This setup works exactly the way I wanted it to. Whenever anybody arrives at my house at night, as soon as they step in front of that post, the light comes on and illuminates the front steps.
It’s not super bright light, but it is more than enough for people to make their way safely up the 4 steps, so I am happy with this light and would recommend it.

I have at least 20 different solar products and lighting and this one is the longest lasting. It stays on in dim mode, then when motion is detected a very bright light comes on and lights up about 10 feet out! This is a fantastic deterrent for security! My backyard was super dark, I added a bunch of solar lights, and I am thinking about getting another one of these. It is heavy so it sits on the cement wall perfectly, with no screws or adhesive. The light stays on my side of the wall and doesn’t interfere with the neighbor. Highly recommend this light!

I don’t know if I got a dud but this light is not very bright, does not last very long and there is no motion activation. It is always at the same brightness which is not very bright. The listing says there are two lighting modes and has the pin in the photo like you are supposed to change it but there is nothing to change. There is simply low brightness and the high brightness when motion is detected. Mine does not have high brightness.

I really like this solar light as it is very dark where I keep my trash can and you never know what kind of critter there is around to spray, bite or sting. As you can see in the pics, I used the supplied mount as a hanger, because I didn’t want to drill into the column that holds the gate and possibly start a crack. I then fabricated a mount out of 1/8 inch galvanized wire and as you can see in the pics, mission accomplished. It looks well built and tough enough to handle any kind of weather.
