   This solar light was just what we needed by our garage and main house entrance. It detects motion close by, was super easy to install and gives the right amount of light. Does not flood excess area and as a result does not shine in neighbors’ windows.

   Pretty when come on but difficult to install and mode control button on back hard to get to when hung and difficult to understand. I keep getting motion detection mode when desire on all night?? Must need more sun than other ones I have bc don’t come on every night.

   We don’t want to run electricity across the backyard so these are the options to both flood the area with lights for security, but also to utilize to play by the grass when it gets dark. The solar charging has been working well since I installed them in October. They’ve held up in rain and even when not getting direct sunlight. They could be brighter, but I bought them knowing that the lumens were limited.

   I ordered these online after a neighbor bought something similar from a big box store and recommended them. The store was out of stock and so I found this similar product online at npcpsolar.com. I only bought the one set of 4 to try them out first before buying enough to light my garage walkway and yard. Out of the box these worked fine. They were bright enough standing right in front of them, but don’t cast their light far, so it is a small limited area that they illuminate. They did light up with even small motion. However, they do not stay lit long, a few mere seconds, so not much of a deterent for security feature. The bigger problem was that within two weeks, 2 out of the 4 units failed. I tried moving them thinking maybe not enough sunlight to charge but it did not make a difference. 50% failure rate is not acceptable, at $10 a pop, not worth the investment. Spend your money elsewhere.

   These outdoor lights really give off a lot of ‘light’ once it gets dark and remain fairly bright throughout the night.
