   The separate solar panel allows me to have the security lighting inside my totally shaded carport while being charged by the panels which are on the outside of the carport where they can charge in the sun.
   The motion sensor works very well allowing me to keep the lights burning at low light unless something steps into the sensor range at which time they flare brightly. I love these lights and, for the price, you cannot beat the value.

   While they do light an area that is blocked from my other outdoor flood lights, there is still a shadow of the objects showing up. You also have to be very close (5-8 ft w/new battery) to the lights for the remote to work, so don’t mount them too high. The motion detection logic seemed to work fine. UPDATE: Installed these 5/28/24, update 6/9/24 I’ve dropped my rating as the remote range was limited when installed and now neither light will respond to either remote… completely unresponsive. Mode 1 is what it appears to be using and I can’t change it. The lights are still as bright as when installed, so there appears to be adequate power being supplied to the lights and remote receiver from the solar panel/batteries. The motion detection range is only 50% of what it was and also has developed blind spots. When taking my dogs to their kennel tonight, the lights didn’t come on when I walked past them going away toward the kennel. On the return to my house, I may have been 10 ft away when one turned on and I had to wave my arms to get the other one on. For comparison, I have a ceiling mounted motion light in my car port and it picked me up at 3x the distance as soon as I stepped out on my patio.
