   Unfortunately a bit disappointed as I was looking for a high quality multi-colored LED porch lights to fit a few holidays. Reason number one, the solar panel on a good sunny day only gives about 2-3 hours for them to be on once it gets dark. Second, the automatic color is red — which is definitely not what I was hoping for since it’s Halloween and I’d want the purple lights to be on.

   As far as the light that does come of them, it’s bright and looks good. These will not last until 10 at night 🙁 for like when it gets dark at 5pm they will be on until 7:30pm.

   We’re going on our second summer now with these solar powered lights and I gotta say, for the price, and the options with the really nice remote, multi-colored options and light patterns? I don’t think I coulda found something better. Going to order two more sets to finish lining our side of the gate for the patio. Only thing I will mention is that you have to give the lights a break in cold months. Here in Chicago with minimal daylight, they don’t charge as long in the winter so they won’t stay lit as long. We enjoy them most in the summer but I left them up all year long. Even through rain, snow, and storms, they’ve shown zero damage and zero wear. They always turn on and the colors are always bright and clean. All around great product.

   Edit: Got a replacement very quickly. These do work, but not for long. My super cheap solar lights last for at least 5 hours, these maybe 2, if it’s been sunny. I hate that they come on automatically.

   Would not charge. Waited for some sunny days. Nothing. Will try again. Like the style.

   EDIT: Replacement worked for a week. Was happy. Then it just quit working. Pleased with the replacement and return policy. Sad about the product. I really wanted to like it.

   I wasn’t sure how well the lights would work due to lack of reviews and how cheap they are. But, they work perfectly! Lights respond to every button on the remote. Solar panel does its charging business. I will say, they do not come on until it’s almost dark. So, if you hit the power button on the remote and the lights don’t turn on, then it might not be dark enough yet (or the solar panel isn’t on so it wasn’t charging). I have an other set coming in, hope it works just as well.

   Worked great for the first month without a lot of rain. We had one week with rain and they stopped working. Water pours out of the solar panel housing. Fried the circuit board. Not waterproofed as advertised.

   Hung them on front porch. bought 2 strands. One remote works both strands. put the 2nd remote in the car to turn on lights when come home after dark. They’re fun and Beautiful, easy to hang, easy to use. Do wish they’d hold a charge all night, but they do last several hours. I clipped them onto edge of roof. the clip hangers are very strong and sturdy. Snow and ice hasn’t seemed to cause any issues other than they obviously can’t charge if panel is buried in snow. lol

   Recently built a pergola in the backyard and wanted some versatile solar powered ambient lights. I searched long and hard for the set that met everything I wanted. 1. Solar powered 2. Remote control, as most have a switch on the panel and it was going to be mounted to high to reach to turn off easily, 3. Color options were a nice to have, pergola doubles as a backyard theater and white light would be too bright during movies. This met all that with the added bonus of being able to dim to a reasonably low level. As far as the colors go, a few are fairly close together not really significantly different, but in all there are 10 options and 6 flash/fade patterns. Remote has a decent range, at least 50ft and doesn’t have to see a sensor to work, one annoyance is sometimes they turn on automatically when it gets dark even though they were turned off the night before, that’s where the remotes range comes in handy, turn if off from inside the house. Seems to be a bit cheaper at the time of review than when I bought it but based on when I bought I am taking a star away as it was a bit over priced. For what I paid I expected a larger solar panel and more battery capacity, this has a seemingly low end solar panel and battery.

   The lights are nice while they are on. The remote control I do not like. I would prefer simple straight controls on the back of the solar panel. The biggest problem is the solar circuitry and battery don’t seem to be very well designed. The panels don’t adequately charge the batteries. Therefore, the lights go off to soon. At best they stay on for about 2 hours at the most. The remote options do not stayed selected. Every evening you have check the lights for the light options you want.
