I finally got the lights to work (remotes still not working). The lights luminate pretty well so revising my rating.
I can’t get the remote control to work – no matter how many different batteries I put in. I’ve purchased other solar lights that work from right out of the box. Still trying to get the lights to work.

It’s worked fine for quite a while, but then not too long ago in moderately high and gusty winds, the solar panel popped off and came down. Fortunately landed on my compost bin, so it didn’t totally shatter. Clearly the glue holding the solar panel on and failed. After a bit of soldering and gluing back on with E6000, seems to be working now, but time will tell.

AFTER INSTALLING THIS LIGHT AND WAITING TEN HOURS FOR IT TO CHARGE, IT DID NOT PICK UP MOTION. I WAS GOING TO RETURN IT IN THE MORNING. I UNINSTALLED IT AND TOOK IT INTO MY DARK GARAGE IN THE EARLY MORNING. IT CAME ON AND WORKED AS DESCRIBED. APPARENTLY TEN HOURS IN THE SUN WAS NOT ENOUGH. IF YOU BUY ONE OF THESE GIVE IT AT LEAST TWELVE HOURS TO CHARGE. IT HAS MANY SETTINGS, SO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. I AM HAPPY WITH WITH IT.

I really wanted to love these lights and when I first installed them it was great. After less than a month of use though they are less than serviceable. One works most of the time, but the other doesn’t hold a charge long enough to even make it through one hour of sporadic use. So, basically, if you don’t have constantly sunny days these aren’t worth it. And since I can’t contact the seller directly I can’t get these exchanged. I need lights where I have these installed, so I’ll be looking for better quality replacements.

I purchased these lights over a year ago. I’ve purchased other solar lights from npcpsolar.com and had pretty good luck. These lights are a bit problematic. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. When I set them up with the remote control, they will not hold the program. They work about 50% of the time.
