After an exhausting search for new solar lights I found these beauties! My parameters – glass lense, well built, bright, long lasting and on the taller side (23″ from ground to top). These fit the bill and more. They have a cool Edison bulb that I’m sure is why they are so bright. They are taller so they don’t disappear in your landscaping. Heavy weight, long spike so they are not tippy. Lots of cheap ones on the market but these are worth the money. I’m buying another set!

After trial and error with several other brands, this was the light I chose to install along my front, back and side garden paths. To make lamps sturdier, I did insert other metal stakes/rods inside the included rod. Also, I have used bricks to give the lamp a study base and added support to protect it from being knocked over by the hose or other implements. I do live in a sunny state so even with shorter days, the little solar panels on the head of the lamp usually get enough sunlight to give six hours of light after the sun sets. In summer, I get 10-12 hours. I have also strung solar, LED lights along my back and side fences. When the temperature is warm enough, with LED lanterns on the patio tables, there is enough ambient lighting to enjoy long, summer evenings outdoors at a fraction of the cost of using wired lighting. Since this has been a DIY project, installing outdoor lighting has been fairly reasonable.

Great looking and sturdy. 1 of the 10 has not worked in spite of changing the batteries 3x. I didn’t want to return all but if the manufacturer replaced the 1 I’d give them 5*.

Very attractive with a metal cover and glass globe. Easy to assemble. I put the spike in the ground first – I used a hammer because the ground was hard – and attached the top afterward so it wouldn’t be damaged in the process. Solar power lights the globes nicely, but on cloudy days they are dimmer which is not surprising. I liked them so much I bought a 2nd set – so we have 20 placed under trees in my yard. We have a big yard, so I may even get a third set. I would definitely recommend them – they are more expensive than many others, but I think they are worth the $150 I paid for 10 ($15 each).
