I was surprised both by how long the LED bulbs will stay lit from a single day’s charge, and how dim the light can be and still have the panel be able to charge the battery. My front steps just got a little bit safer today! The mounting hardware for the solar panel could be more substantial, though.

I didn’t expect to need this so soon, but we went off road yesterday and had some issues that came up with the vehicle. This did everything I wanted it to perfectly! I chose this so that in the event, whether it was off-road or here in the house that we had something that provides light and power. Yesterday this did both. Being up in the mountains on the trails you just never know what you might run into so having this pre-charged and ready to go was awesome. I feel much safer knowing especially as it’s the darkest part of winter that we have safe bright lights and the multifunctional ability to charge phones and keep coffee and soup warm. This solar power outdoor lighting system works great for lighting my off-grid yard & garden. Installation was a little time consuming, but fairly straight forward, and the large solar panel and battery capacity provides more than enough charge for nighttime use. It’s a reliable and practical lighting solution, with the added bonus of being able to charge other USB devices easily.

The high school engineers that designed the product should be made to install it! For example, the bolts that mount the solar panel are too short. You cannot use your finger to hold the nuts to the bolts to mount the panel. This is fun stuff to learn when leaning out a window to install the panel. I found a pair of pliers that worked – on one side. On the other side, the electrical box for the solar panel was in the way and I had to go find a specialized pair of small pliers to hold the nut. Still not installed for a couple of other similar reasons. Amazing how little thought goes into installation!

Got this in case of a power outage. I have screwed around a few times with it when it first came in and love it. I tried putting the panel on the inside of the house to see how well it charged and it was incredible. IT holds very well and charges phone very well as well. The only thing I was not impressed with is how loose the USB plugs feel. Other than that this is a great grab for power outages or camping. This would even be a great way to dimly light a deck or some outdoor space without using your home electricity.
