I ordered one pack of these pathway lights to give them a try. They are super-easy to install in red clay dirt. I used a rubber mallet to drive the initial stake in the ground, and then easily assembled the rest of the pieces the same way. Poles can be made long or short, depending on your personal preferences. After one full day of sunlight, I set the switches to come on, and they instantly lit the driveway. The light points to the ground, making them perfect for path lights. On initial try, the lights offered a modest amount of light, but they stayed on until the next morning. So, that’s a plus. I would prefer a bit more light from these, but they are a good value for the money and for their purpose. Only caution: The lights sit in the top of the poles with no screws to hold them in. It might be wise to remove them in high winds – or find a way to secure them in the poles.
