These are really cool lamps. We bought these separately because we bought another product that was a pole with a flag. That was supposed to come with a lamp, and it didn’t. These lamps fit the bill just great. LED bulb, solar panel, which you can’t even tell unless you look at it really close. It comes on automatically at night. We have a porch light that comes on when we walk out of the house that’s motion activated, and when that comes on, This lamp goes off. It then turns back on after the porch light goes off. So it works great. Has a nice warm, soft white glow to it as well. We only need one, but that’s OK, we have a spare. We may put the other one at our back yard gate.

Very pretty, other reviewers who say not bright likely didn’t follow the instructions and flip the switch to “on” only right before your placing in the sun for a full 6-8 hours before expecting dark/first use.
I’ve purchased a whole bunch of these (the black ones) and all of them are great and have survived some hard rains – and pollen. They are bright and on every night- even after cloudy days.
They are not super bright like a porch light, but lit enough to create relaxing night space ambience and safety to clearly see walk spaces, or lurking animals/creepers.
1-2 lanterns in a small area can do that, but if Hoping to light up a bigger or longer space – they need to be placed every 4 feet at minimum.

Very pleased…these lanterns are better than expected! They produce a beautiful soft glow at night and all of them (6) look identical. The copper I selected has a rich and antique looking patina. I followed the instructions and gave them a good 8+ hour initial charge in bright sunlight (plenty of that here in South Florida) which my son the high school Physics teacher explained is good for “battery memory”. Looks beautiful around our backyard doggie park!!!
