Although these look nice, they are extremely flimsy. All have broken off of their mounts in the first few weeks.

These worked as advertised but there are a couple issues.
They are brighter than I thought, which is part of the problem if you intend to put these along a path instead of below plants. You can’t look down at them at night without them blinding you. They really need to be diffused but there wasn’t a single options of these on npcpsolar.com that had a diffuser over th LEDs. I bought some sticky diffusion material made for windows to do it myself.
Second, the spike that’s goes into the ground is super brittle. You will need to take a small shovel and dig the hole before putting it in. Even a light hammer stroke can cause the spike to break off.
I can’t speak for longevity as I just got them. I expect to buy some each year to replace old ones. But I’ve read that you can also just replace the batteries yourself.

These lights create a very charming atmosphere and I enjoy the way they look in my landscape. However, they don’t provide much light and not for very long. Our property is a newer development, so full sun in most places. The lights get a full charge, however, they do not last as long as they claim they will. The sun goes down about 7:45 pm. I stay up late, and usually by 1:00 a.m. they are totally out, so definitely no security there. The way these pictures turned out makes them look a lot brighter than they actually are. Despite this, I would purchase them again as the price is reasonable and the atmosphere they create is lovely.

Needed a contemporary path lighting option that wouldn’t create a stepping obstacle. These lights were simple to install and are exactly what I was wanting. Lights last all night and are just fading at dawn.
