   We have been remodeling our house for over 2 years (large house). The door that this light will be installed by is off of our back deck and gets all of the morning sun so it made sense to put it there. The light looks nice and is well made. We have to wait until our siding is redone before installing it, but that shouldn’t be too hard since we’ve replaced so many lights before.

   This solar outdoor wall light is gorgeous wall sconce. I love the timeless old-world design of the sconce. This is a very high quality, durable sconce. It has a sturdy die cast aluminum metal frame and glass panes. It came fully assembled, save for the need to mount it and put in the light bulb. I appreciate that you can change the light bulb easily because the bottom of the lamp is open. I charged the sconce in full sun for a full day. The sconce was on my covered deck and not exposed to sunlight before I was able to get back to it to test it. Still after a few days of not being charged, the light went on and stayed on inside the house until about 3:30 am when I woke up in the middle of the night. I am not sure how much longer through the night the light stayed lit. I was surprised the charge held up so well under the conditions of being out of sunlight for so long. To test it, I had the sconce in my kitchen. It turned on automatically when the lights in the room were turned off. The sconce provided a nice soft light that allowed ample light for me to see in the kitchen without turning on another light source. When I ordered the sconce, I moved rather quickly, and I didn’t notice this is a combination solar and hard wire light. I will be mounting the light near my front door and at this time I don’t have electrical wired to this outdoor area of my home. It works out perfectly because this light can be powered with solar without the need to hardwire it. In sum, this solar sconce is a truly attractive, high quality outdoor wall light. I really love this solar outdoor wall sconce, and I highly recommend it.

   I needed a solar wall light to save on my electricity bill but where I live, but I don’t get maximum sunlight. So, this hybrid version is perfect because I like to leave my light on from dusk til dawn. It’s a bit bulky looking because of the solar panel but is still a decent looking fixture. It also comes with an LED light bulb and the fixture itself is not heavy. The solar panel does not pivot which would be a great feature. And I wish there was a cover at the bottom to keep the bugs and spider webs out.

   We love the brightness and easiness on the eyes – it’s on our white metal shop so having no nighttime glare is fantastic. The all-metal light box looks great and will hold up well to our windy weather. There are a lot of power outages where we live (lots of above-ground lines near trees) so the solar aspect provides a huge upside. The first place we need to go when the power is out is now well-lit and easy to access in the dark.
