   The light would initially not work. I removed the battery to check charging. Charger said the batter was charged, but identified it as a NiCad battery, not Li-Ion as described in listing and product instructions. Replaced the battery with a known good Li-Ion battery, and light functioned properly. I will monitor the light to ensure that it is able to charge a real lithium battery. If not I will update the review, and return the item.

   Update: After an hour or so, the light stopped working. My replacement battery tested ok, so there must are an intermittent problem with the light. Time to return.

   Unfortunately it didn’t last. Being in a sort of out of the weather space didn’t keep this alive. I’d consider a hardwire if possible or get a warranty to cover replacement.

   Diese Solarlampe mit Bewegungsmelder habe ich in meinem Eingangsbereich zur Haustür montiert.
   Sie funktioniert einwandfrei. Sieht optisch schön aus und gibt ein warmes Licht. Die Montage ist sehr einfach, nur zwei Schrauben in die Mauer und die Lampe einhängen. Sie ist aus soliden Metall gebaut, also nicht aus Plastik.
   Sie ist zwar nicht unbedingt günstig, aber ich hatte vorher eine aus Kunststoff, die einiges weniger kostete, aber sie ging nur vier Monate. Daher einmal mehr Geld ausgeben und dann hat man Ruhe.
   Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen.

   I ordered this DAWALIGHT Solar Outdoor Wall Light to illuminate the number sighn on the front of our house. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. The directions are clear and it was an easy install. CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW: After a couple days the light was still not turning on…So I contacted the seller, thinking the battery may not have been keeping the charge or something. They got right back to me, surprised the light was not working, but offering to send a full replacement unit…I was prepared to send back the original, but they did not even ask for it back. The new light was shipped out right away and works fantastic! The whole experience with the seller was easy & hassell free. PRODUCT REVIEW: This light works and looks great! The body/housing is made of durable metal. The light comes on automatically at dusk and is bright at 60 lumens, but then depending on the setting you choose, will bump up to 250 lumens for 25 seconds, after motion detection. It’s not warm white, but it’s not a blinding white either. I just keep it at the first setting of staying at 60 lumens (no motion detection). It appears to stay on, lasting all night until dawn. … Overall, I could not be happier with this product AND the customer service experience. Thank you DAWALIGHT! 🙂

    3/22/2025: UPDATE – after connecting with support team, I was provided better instruction than came with the packaging. Beside mediocre packaged instructions, I cannot complain. Support was prompt and effective. Lights work great now. Modern look but elegant. Product build is sturdy. Looking forward to long product durability.

    3/17/2025: Instructions say to charge sufficiently before expecting the lights to work. I installed two lights a week ago and neither works after sun charging for a full week. Requesting seller exchange for a working pair. Don’t want money back. I want working solar lights.

    This is a well constructed wall mount, heavy duty outdoor light. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating because the written up on instruction. It built as an outdoor , weather proof device but their caution on the ip44 rating that the user needs to protect against splashing water. If this unit is mounted on the outdoor wall , you will see water splashing during an heavy rain. The manufacture should re-look at this instructions write up and alleviate this concern for the potential users.

    Had this 2 months. Was perfect for what we wanted to do with it (puppy potty area), and the design is more attractive and modern than others. Unfortunately, it finally rained here a bit and now doesn’t work at all. I live in AZ where it hardly ever rains and when it does it’s typically a sprinkle. I mounted this on the wall of my house so now I put drill holes through the stucco for nothing. Wish it was still working, we were very happy with it when it was functioning as advertised. To pricey to buy another and I wouldn’t trust it now anyway.
