The light from the outdoor lamps is too dazzling. Even if the brightness is adjusted, it is still very uncomfortable. Looking at it for a long time will hurt your eyes.

I had little hopes for this light, but I am SO glad we bought it! We didn’t have power running for a light at our front entrance, so we purchased this solar light. The pictures don’t do it justice it’s gorgeous in person!! We are actually going to purchase two more for our side entrance. It’s a must have!

So the biggest thing with this, like any solar light, is placement! We installed ours on a south facing wall by our back door where it gets lots of light, and set it to it’s second mode. When it senses us walking towards the door it turns on to its full brightness. It does not light up during the day, and has three modes. It did take me a bit to figure out the modes though, because the left button is just an on/off switch where the right button sets the modes. The light blinks to let you know what mode it’s in. It comes with three screws for install but only two are needed to mount it. It is very light weight so I don’t see more being needed. I love how bright it is and how quickly it shuts off when it doesn’t sense anyone near by! Great for getting in the door without needing to leave a light on every time we leave the house.

This solar light not only works, it looks gorgeous!!! I don’t know why I was expecting something smaller because the dimensions are in the description, but when I saw the size when I took it out of the box, I was so happy. I wanted to set this up on a side entry cement retaining wall that had no illumination. The path leads to a side kitchen door and the backyard. It’s a 7ft high cement wall and about 6 ft wide. I was not about to spend hundreds on an electrician to add illumination to the area, so that area has been dark for years. I saw this solar light and it had everything I wanted, I didn’t want it on all day, but I didn’t think a solar light would provide enough brightness to light the area. I also needed it to have motion detection so it would light up and we could find the keyhole to enter (we’d been using a small keychain flashlight, a hassle to maneuver if you have packages). Because we live in the tropics we get a lot of rain 6 months out of the year and in hurricane season, we can get some heavy winds (or an actual hurricane). This is built to last! We used concrete screws to install it. It looks fantastic on that wall and the motion detection works, the light comes on very dim and it gets brighter as you walk up the path. You will see what I mean if you watch the video. I love the style and best of all, I love the price!!! You can keep it on dim mode, motion activated brightness or keep it on constantly. You adjust it to your needs. I highly recommend this solar light, such an effortless installation and so much bang for the money.
