Lighting up backyard pergolas or gazebos this overhead light is an easy to wire up fixture. It runs entirely off a solar panel using lengthy waterproof cord that lets me position it towards sunlight at a distance from where I mounted this light. It did lack hooks or mechanism above the metal lampshade and simply meant using bit of DIY to attach overhead. At 5V its Edison style bulb did feel bright enough to illuminate a small area underneath but range is only about 4 to 6ft of lighting. On backside the solar panel has an integrated battery and controls toggle effects that makes the light feel sparkly setting mood for relaxing outdoors. Small but simple to run using solar power adding bit of night to outdoor pergola.

Easy enough to use. Decent quality, but the light is much more of a mood light, not something that will light a gazebo well. So we have it hanging next to our coop for a fancy night light. So far it works well for that function.

Love that this is solar charged so I don’t have to wire anything or have an already wired socket. It charges pretty well and is non obtrusive

I tried several times to get this light to last all night. At max charge via usb port it last about 6 hours, as well as charging it with a full day of sunlight it is also about 6 hours. If you put it on the dimmest setting, I am sure it would go for an advertised 8+ hours. The light is attractive and remains bright for the duration. There are about two usable light functions, which are a fade in/out and steady on. The other setting varies between emergency services/attracting aliens/disco rave or just plain seizure inducement. Overall, the light is functionally nice, the optional USB charging is a definite plus for rainy or dark days when the solar panel is not getting charged, and the corded hanging pendant style is attractive. But if you push the wrong button among the eight choices on the remote, your dinner guests will start to feel quite nauseated or start dancing like robots with glow sticks.

Perfect for RV life. Or out in the yard. This hanging basket style lamp folds up very neatly into a small mesh, with it’s weaved metal material, compact LED bulb, extra long wire, and small but powerful solar panel. It is very easy to pack away. And when fully charged, the lamp remains lit all night. But with the included remote , you can function the lamp through its 8 different dimmer, colour and timer settings. Making it great for camp or the back yard/deck.
Nice material quality for a very good bang for the buck

I had to track voltages to find that the tab inside the light fixture wasn’t touching the light bulb so I thought it didn’t work for a couple days but now I bent the tab and it’s good now…

My initial review which I have left standing below in the interests of transparency and honesty, was based upon receiving a non-operating unit.
After ongoing discussions with the seller, a replacement unit was supplied and I am happy to report that it worked perfectly and exactly as described in both the product description and in all the other reviews posted here. Rather than go into all the features of this OMED patio light on which other reviews have already done an excellent job, I will just comment that I have revised my rating on this product from a 1 to a 4. This was NOT requested by the seller and is not something I usually do. However being frank, the earnestness and helpfulness of the seller’s representatives and the perfect operation of the replacement unit has convinced me that it would be unfair not to reflect the improved performance.

Would not light up despite being fully charged and operating. Tried different bulbs just to be certain it was the light and not the bulb. Also tried it in MANY different locations just to be more than 100% certain of the issue.

Everything about this light is top shelf quality. The solar panel/battery is hefty, not one of those flimsy ones. The cables are all water tight with screw on connectors. The cable is extra long so I had no trouble running the solar panel up to the roof of my workshop. I like the light shade. It’s a wire mesh and has an interesting design. The Edison style bulb is a plus as well. The remote is a simple one which is a plus for me. I like the feature where you can time it to come on and turn off at the same time each night just by hitting a button on the remote. There are eight modes with various flashing patterns. I’m not sure why you would want them but they are there. All in all it is a good quality light and has worked flawlessly for me.

The light is a very design. It is actually black swishy chain material that drops down into place when you lift it up.
The light is lightweight and can be used indoors or outdoors. We charged it for a few hours with the solar panel and it was ready to go. Apparently it stores accumulated solar energy so that it will be good to go on days that are not sunny.
It has 8 functions. Some are strobing, flasibg or fading. Unless you were stranded somewhere, or having a party, or maybe even consider having a stroke, I’m not sure when you would use them. It has 3 levels of brightness which are ok. I would much prefer to have a dimmer on a light to set it where I want to. It also comes with a remote control.
Overall it is a nice light

Simple design with mesh style shade, waterproof grade plastic housing and a 13” cable that connects from the light to the solar panel. The panel itself has some standard functions that can be used without a remote. The remote allows for on/off operation, three brightness settings and light sequencing modes. The light sequencing modes are not pleasant and are an added feature that really isn’t needed. This will be used for a gazebo light and will only be using the lowest brightness and solid on without any sequencing.
The length of cable allows for many position options and works perfectly for our gazebo that is a distance from the house with no available electric.
