   Installée devant mon garage depuis 2 mois maintenant, je dois dire que je impressionné par l’intensité d’éclairage à chaque fois que je rentre tard chez moi.

   Pour l’anecdote, dès la première nuit, mon voisin est venu me voir le lendemain matin, étonné par la puissance de l’éclairage qui illumine toute l’entrée de ma maison ! Je lui ai donné le lien vers l’article, il a dit qu’il investirait certainement dans la même lampe solaire d’ici l’hiver 🙂
   C’est vrai qu’elle est vraiment pratique, surtout lors des retours tardifs à la maison.

   J’ai remarqué quelques petits défauts, comme une soudure légèrement fragile, mais franchement, cela reste tellement mineur comparé aux avantages que cette lampe offre !

   Aussi, comme vous l’avez compris, je suis très satisfait et je recommande ce “spot” solaire les yeux fermés ( pour ne pas être ébloui ah ah !) comme je l’ai déjà fait à mon voisin.

   So first off, none of the solar lights you see claiming wattage like this are accurate.  7200W at 240V is 30A, which is about what an electric dryer uses.  Running this off batteries for even an hour would require somewhere around 150 lbs of lithium batteries and a cost well over $2000, and then the solar panel on this – being just shy of 30W would take 240 hours of sunlight to charge it up for that 1 hour.

   The panel itself faces up right at 21 to 23 degree angle (facing back towards your wall/pole, which may diminish sunlight).   The panel has some silicone around it, but doesn’t appear to be really waterproof below.  Most of the water should flow off, but if any does make it through, there are two TINY drain holes.  The mount is made of extruded plastic and has no drain holes in it and is perfect for catching water.  This isn’t a big deal until winter comes around – however every light like this I’ve seen has this issue.  It’s easy to drill a couple drain holes in it, which won’t look nice from the bottom, but should keep things in better shape.

    The light itself has a little bit of a flicker effect to it.  It doesn’t shut off, but does go bright->dim->bright->dim many times per second.  It does tend to bother my eyes a bit, but I am more sensitive to this than many other people- and also there are worse ones.  I do believe that this is a little more energy efficient to do this however, so it’s likely a trade off.

   So, you’ve read all the reviews and decided you’re going to buy this light.  A couple thoughts for long term happiness would be to put some clear silicone all around the panel, and drill the small holes by the mount.  The last thing I’d note is that the mounting bolts for the panel are all stainless, but the other included hardware is “normal” metal.  Myself, I’d recommend swapping out the washers on the top as I find them a little small for the job, even if they didn’t end up being stainless.

   Installed needed 12 ft ladder and a very tall person to get them affixed. One works the other one does not work so now I have two matching fixtures near one another and its a big FAIL! Now I have to pay another person to take down to return and this is not happening because of our bad weather so yeah not a good situation for us! I wish this seller would make it right but thats usually not going to happen so I will instead warn others ..beware even if it lights on day one or two despite both being FULL SUN ontop of unshaded 14 ft poles! both switched the same both same light nothing different. ONE DOES NOT WORK! It lights dimmer than the other one does not hold the same charge and there is NO shade to this so it makes no sense why! We are one of the Sunniest States of the 50 so yeah this should work here.

   Just received the Gefolly SL-5200W Solar Street Light, and first impressions are great. The build feels sturdy and well-made, and the solar panel looks like it can really capture and store a lot of sunlight. Although I haven’t installed it yet, I’m impressed with how it’s packaged and the overall quality right out of the box. It looks like it’ll be perfect for my yard and driveway, especially with the high lumens and motion sensor features. Can’t wait to set it up and see it in action — I’ll update once it’s running, but so far, it seems like a great purchase!

    The light performance exceeds my expectations. I was blown away by the coverage this light produces (see image). We have a large backyard with quite a few trees. It can be difficult at night to see this area of the yard, but I can tell you when the light kicks on you can see a good 90% of the yard. Hopefully the light will also help our cameras capture better images. The remote works well and you do have the ability to use the manual button on the light. I really like the dusk to dawn feature, no need to worry about whether or not you turned on the light. When the light does finally kick on at dusk it stays dimly lit and will only go into extreme brightness when it captures movement. I can’t say enough great things about this light, it does an awesome job and the cost is minimal for what it provides (security). If you have a large area that needs a little night sunshine, this product will do the trick! Highly recommended.

    This company is serious about customer service. After reaching out to seller to punpoint a flaw in design for northern countries with snow like Canada, they rapidly offered a full refund for my 2 units.

    The problem is you won’t get much light out of them during winter since the snow will cover the top-flat solar panel preventing battery from recharging. The addition of a low voltage heating element incorporated in the solar panel or a transparent dome to prevent snow build-up should be considered in future models.
