I bought the four pack and thought that they were warm lights like in the picture, but they’re actually cool, so beware! That’s why I am docking them a star. Otherwise, they turned on right out of the box. I am concerned that they may not work as well when they are on my stairs because they are going to be in the shade a lot. I will update the review when they are installed with my final thoughts.

I ordered these to put on my small condo balcony. I’m using Velcro strips instead of the tape that’s provided because I happened to have a box that are meant for outdoor use, and are super-sturdy. Also because I can easily take the lights off if the HOA tells me to. I’ve tested all the lights and they’ve been lined up on my coffee table, waiting for the rain to stop. I turned each of them on (the on/off switches are strange: squishy and impossible to tell when they are actually in the “on” position) and covered each solar panel with my hand to make sure the light came on. All of the 16 lights were successfully turned on. That night when I passed through the room on my way to the kitchen, all 16 were shining brightly in what would otherwise have been a dark room. They stayed that way until morning. And each night, for almost a week, they lit up. Now they’re ready to soak up some more sun. The price was very good, and now I’m anxious for the rain to stop.
