The only con with this setup was it really screamed give me a remote. Since there are different modes, that is handy to have.
Comes with a few options to mount the solar panel. They’ve supplied screws and grommets. But you can also use a stake to push into the ground or they have a clip you can also clamp onto something.
I’ve provided a video walking thru the different modes you can set (8 of them).
Another nice touch is that – say you have an event you want to use these for but it’s cloudy – don’t fear. It comes with a USB port to charge it with. USB C port. Very nice touch!
30 bulbs across the 50ft run. 7 foot of cable from back of solar panel to first bulb. I’ve supplied some pics of the connectors if you want to find an extension to allow for further distance.
Love the warm color base. But it’s nice to throw in xmas coloring… flashing & pulsing allows for use in many situations! Then toss in solar – sold. But the ability to charge the battery via USB C is great. Oh, btw, IP65 – so can handle that rain.

Poorly conceived product. I followed the directions and fully charged the solar panel with a USB charger before the first use. The lights worked late into the night. The next day, after a full day in the sun, the lights only stayed lit 1.5 hours after sundown. On a well thought out product, the solar panel would fully charge the battery after a day. This is definitely not the case. Also these are listed as 50 ft length but the distance between the outer most lights is closer to 44 feet.

I used these as cockpit lights November 2023 through June 2024 on a sailboat cruising the Caribbean, hanging them when I’d drop anchor and then stuffing them in a locker while underway. They took a lot of abuse, but all but three of the led lights were still illuminating at the end of the season. The solar panel was sufficient to charge the battery on sunny days, and usb charging was quick and effective on rainy days. Lights are bright enough to meet all my cockpit lighting needs for dining and even reading, and visible enough to act as supplemental marker lights in dark anchorages. Purchasing another set for the coming season.

We are happy with our lights. They appear to be good quality, and the 50 foot string is perfect under our 8′ × 8′ gazebo. The only negative thing I’d like to mention is that it would have been nice to know that they won’t light up in the daytime even when the solar panel is fully charged. Until I read that in one of the reviews I was worried that mine didn’t work. We really wanted to see them light up (it doesn’t get dark this time of year until almost 9:00 PM) so we covered the panel with a cardboard box to make it seem like it’s dusk and the lights lit up! Happy dance!

We live on a lake, and it is handy to have a pattern of solar lights to help us navigate home in the dark. We have lights on the dock, and the string of these across the deck up on the house completes the picture nicely. The cord happens to be the exact length we need (it’s a pretty large deck) and the warm white color temperature of the bulbs looks great with the much brighter warm white 110V string lights under the deck. At Christmas time the colorful mode will look really nice. The mode switch is easy to get to, as long as you haven’t permanently mounted the solar panel somewhere you can’t get to it.
The solar panel is nice and large, and with a little experimentation to find the ideal position and angle, it stores up a good enough charge on a sunny day for the lights to last all night. I don’t expect it to work as well on short, cloudy winter days here in the north, but even then it should keep them looking good well into the night. If I decide I want them to run all night at Christmas, I can run an extension cord and a USB-C charger out to them. The ability to charge it directly is a big plus.

These are aesthetically pleasing but despite being in the direct sunlight, they are only lit for 2-3 hours in the evening. That’s on days there is no overcast! I have another set of solar powered Edison outdoor lights that I bought last year that stay lit for 5 hours+.
