These showed up with a little bit of power and turned right on. Only one was slightly less bright, so I kept them in place in the box for a charge the next day. I turned them all back off, then on in the morning to charge a full day on my south facing windowsill, in my sunroom. As you can see in the picture the one is still less bright. I'm not certain as to the reason. They all had the same sun exposure and duration. I don't think it's a representation for quality; as lights and bulbs in particular are sensitive and may just be a variation in batch scenerio, I will contact the company and see what may be the case. The light still works, but a matching set might be important for some, as this is a set of eight. Overall, the quality glass is nice and thick, lots of crackles, giving of a very pretty patern where it reflects. Nice attched hanger stlyle looks very sleek and is easy to install in any room, garden or porch. Great for saving on energy, and giving a nice subtle light to your space. Update; I reached out to Gigalumi & they are taking excellent customer care of for the one light situation. They immediately responded, making me a fan and I would recommend this company. After reviewing I gave the lights a 4 (wish 4.5 was available); noting that my only concern was that people may wish the light all be the same brightness. So, with the excellent customer service, I update my review to 5 stars.

Too much effort to get to the rechargeable battery to switch it out...when it's only partial sun your getting, it helps to be able to move these into the sunlight or if you have 18650 batteries on hand swap 'em. I have two other sets of post lights and both of those went a sensible route so all you have to do is turn the cap a bit and it lifts right off, battery is in between the cap and the inner roof. On these you have to take them off the posts, at least two screws hold it on, turn it over and remove 4 tiny screws at each corner of the lens, do that enough times and soon those screw holes won't work. Then you have to pry the top of that cap apart to get to the battery which is the only reason I'm giving the 4 stars rating, it's a stand alone 18650 battery without the wires which is good because wired ones unless they are the plug type just get thrown out, the plug type not much better can't recharge it either but can be replaced. But you can with these lights, only one of the other two sets I have uses AA rechargeable battery, much better all around. Make sure you measure these if buying extra batteries, 18650 batts are not a standard size like AA's, C or D. So it ends here, if you like going to a lot of trouble just to get to a battery then go ahead, also it says you have choice of - Correction - warm or white light. They are bright I'll give them that. No real instructions of course so it took me a bit to finally see those tiny screws, and a drawing of a screw driver - don't use it in the slot to remove cap - if they'd placed it near one of the corners would've helped as would a few words? Only other thing I've noticed with China is what they call a 4x4 post must be a rough cut and not an SxS 4x4 that's common in the US, so there's always a gap all the way around even with using the mounting adaptors. Longevity? Too early to tell but you don't go with rechargeable batteries unless you're confident your product will last for awhile. I liked the choice of copper colored or black, most are just black...like the brightness and rechargeable battery but those tiny screws, taking it all apart, just irritates me. Buy it for the battery and the brightness is all I can say. You can't see the screw but it's in the corner of the lens. Other two show how bright these are, I mean the security light was on yet look at those lights. Another pic show two lights in the background at my front gates. The one showing the underside of the cap shows on/off switch plus that's the 6" adaptor insert, there's a smaller one to fit 4x4 posts and both fit inside each other. As you can see mine are on wood stumps so I had to make small wood attachment using two pieces of picket rail and the 6x6 adaptor using my screws to attach it to the light adaptor, this way they are anchored enough to stand most wind and just lift off if need additional sun charging or battery switched out. Will report on longevity soon but these are for sale now, thought I should review it now.

I actually ordered the wrong size for this product. These are for 4x4 posts whereas I have 5x5 posts. However, despite the mistake, these will actually fit decently on a 5x5 post with the outer LEDs sitting on the outside of the post. Only the center LEDs are obscured. The bottom switch has 3 settings: cool white, off, and warm white. Internals are extremely simple. It's just a couple LEDs wired up to an 18650, and wired up to a solar cell with a light sensor. The 18650 is branded as HongLi with a capacity of 1200mAH. Most batteries from China tend to have extremely exaggerated mAH ratings, or impossible ratings like 9900mAH that is nearly 300% what is physically possible with current lithium technology, so I'm not actually sure what to make of a Chinese 18650 that has a low capacity rating out of the box. Perhaps it's accurate? Considering how light the battery feels, I'd definitely say it's low capacity, probably half the weight of a standard 2500mAH 18650, so maybe the 1200mAH rating is accurate. Couldn't get a decent shot at night since it's so dark, since these actually generate very little light. I'm able to make out the position of my fence, but I can barely see any illumination on the ground. Hard to argue the price, for a 12 pack, these cost about 30% what you would pay at the hardware store. You do kind of get what you pay for though. Ironically, if you compare prices, these cost about the same or even less than what you would pay for just plain plastic caps at a hardware store.

Great service, after about a month I was able to get in contact with the sellers and they were able to give me the replacement at same cost. Very understanding. The light works great!

These solar lights are remarkably durable and well-suited for outdoor use, effectively withstanding various weather conditions. They offered an excellent solution for installing landscape lighting, allowing me to bypass the hassle and expense of hiring an electrician to hardwire ground lights. I appreciate their design and am satisfied with how they enhance the overall look of my outdoor space. Note that even on a cloudy day, they work well enough to come on at dusk until about 1 AM and will stay on.

Got these to replace ones I had over the driveway and porch. You definitely want a light with lots of LED's like these. They're quite bright and make it much easier to see at night. I have smaller ones on side of house. They have 2/3 the number of LED's and they're just too weak. A really nice distinguishing feature about these is that mode switch is in the front. All other similar lights I've owned have them in the back. This light has a much smarter and more convenient design in that regard. I expect these to last as long as other ones I've had that get really harsh full sun for most of the day ( a year to a year and a half ). But for the price, I think they're worth it.

Very simple to put together, as well as placement. Very easy if you're wanting to put these lights in landscaping, bit more difficult if you're going to screw them in place. Biggest concern is the possibility of mowing them to pieces. I don't take a chance since they're easily removed and can be put back in place with little effort. I am amazed at how long they stay charged! When I first got them I only had them out in the sun for a few hours, and they went through the whole night without dying! These lights are pretty ground level in height. Just a little over an inch. They don't project light too terribly far. These lights are best used for marking your area and/or boundary. My biggest gripe comes from the manual. It repeatedly states that there are four light modes when there is only one. The manual says it has cool white light, warm white light, blue light, and green light, which can be applied to different environments... not so much! White light is it.. Bottom Line: These led ground lights can show you the way, and are easy to set up in just about any outdoor area needing it. Check out my pics for examples. Let there be...

I believe this solar light to be good, but has some scratches on it. They’re made of plastic, which feels okay, and they’re designed for easy setup. It takes roughly 5 minutes to install by simply screwing it into the wall. Once set up, it's powered by the sun and has a feature that makes it light up automatically upon detecting motion, which I find really convenient. I believe its worth mentioning there's a scratch on the top right side of the solar panel and another on the base, something fairly inconvenient. When it comes to performance, the light is fairly strong, providing adequate illumination for its surroundings. Overall, I dislike it arrived with scratches, but I like its functional design and motion detection capability. I believe it’s a good investment.

Works perfect. Just the right amount of light, and stays lit all thru the night. Added bonus, the rechargable battery is easily replaceable --- so unless it gets ruined from some kind of outside damage, I see this thing lasting A LONG TIME! Used on top of a 4x4 post (actually 3.5x3.5), for our "bird station"

The look of these is very resort-like and not quite what I was going for…and I live in a contemporary style house. These lights are tall! In the dark it may take awhile for all the lights to light at once, depending on their position and sun exposure. The light itself is sturdy, but the included spikes are too short to hold the weight of these lights in an upright position without adding additional bark mulch or stones at the base, making installation a bit challenging. The lights are bright when set on highest mode but do not last much beyond 7-8 hours. It is early spring, so longer sunny days may extend light time. Hard to tell how long the plastic base and spikes will last in freezing temperatures. Cannot adjust the height so placing them in the landscaping is the only option for making these lights appear visually shorter and appealing which defeats the purpose of lighting a walkway. For decorative purposes only they would probably be okay.

I bought this solar light to illuminate my driveway since its long and let me say, this light has more than impressed me, it also includes a remote controller as well with dimming functions, as well as a ON/OFF function, the motion sensor built works well . This light not only saves money by using the sun to power it but it help to illuminates my driveway! I will definitely be buying more!

Our home was modified by the original owners with a unique exterior side stairway that they later enclosed. There is no power nor lights in this stairway, which now are the main entrance to our home from the garage. It is very dark and dangerous at night. For years I have been replacing batteries in different types of motion sensor lights, including LED strips. These would light up parts of the stairway area, and inevitably run out of power and leave the area dark until the batteries got replaced. I installed this product two weeks ago, and it is just perfect! I mounted the lights above the bottom of the stairs; angling the main center light and sensor to the bottom of the door at the top of the stairs, so it turns on only when you open the door and step in. And the 2 side lights are angled to the middle and bottom of the stairs and illuminate the entire stairway wonderfully. Very pleased. The solar cells were mounted on a metal strip as seen in the photo to get the cells up high enough on the interior window, which was really easy to do. I contemplated drilling a hole for the cord to the outside and mounting on the exterior of the home, but this simple inside installation seems to be working well.
