Love these torches, you get so many - 12 in the pack! They're simple to set up and if you get them outside early enough in the day, they'll glow on the very first night. They really add something special to your yard - whether you like to just quietly observe them or you like to have a bunch of people over to entertain outside. They're low maintenance too! No batteries to change, just let the sun charge them each day. I'd highly recommend these for some added sparkle to your yard.
This set is easy to install, is attractive, and has great details. The LED color and brightness control is a big plus. 100% downlighting is efficient and kind to neighbors. I use these for grilling and entertaining and then use the motion detection for security (mostly wildlife). I had a problem with one fixture after 18 months, contacted customer service at NIORSUN and they very politely and quickly sent me a new light. Thoroughly pleased.
these are exactly what i was looking for! i love the flickering of the “flames”! i bought 6 of them for front steps and back porch….and might get a few more! well made and worth the price.
Very easy to install. We are using them to light a walkway down the side of our home. We recently had the walking path installed. Very satisfied with the brightness. They get enough of a charge during the day that they stay on all night. Very reasonable on price considering the quality. Only time will tell about the durability.
So I have many solar flood lights and thought this would be good for the dark, side yard. I did not realize quite how large this was. The light is about a foot wide! The separate solar panel is even larger. This will be more suited to illuminate an area like a backyard or driveway. Functionally it works great. It has various modes but I always like the 30% dim until motion detected than about 20 seconds of 100%. The supplied remote lets you toggle between modes. This light is bright! Having the solar panel separate allows for more mounting options regarding available sunlight. The only negative I had was that the mounting hardware was a little flimsy for the size of the light and the panel. They will probably suffice but I would have liked them to be sturdier.
First and foremost, these cap lights only fit on flat 4x4s. If your post has a different top cut, you will have to modify it for these to fit. Second, you have to open the base to access the "cold-off-warm" toggle and switch from off to a color choice. I let my sit out during the day to charge and wondered why they didn't light up at night. Sigh. The lights were very easy to install with the screws they came with. For some reason they also had drywall anchors as well. They are very bright, especially if you don't live around a lot of ambient city light, and I can easily walk around the deck or down the stairs at night. So far, the lights have functioned perfectly until just before dawn when they automatically turn off. If you look at the photos, you'll see two of the lights on my unfinished railing. The next picture is at midnight, and although my camera doesn't like night shots, you can clearly see the daffodils under the railing and is much brighter in person. I have one light set to cool (top/left) and the other to warm (bottom/right) so you can see the difference. Same with the 3rd picture where you can better see how bright they actually are on the wood and still see the daffodils clearly 10 feet below on the ground. Personally, I like the look of these lights better than most of the other brands with their sleek low profile instead of looking like a huge crown on each post. The quality and value seem good and I expect the LEDs to outlast the batteries, which are replaceable.
We purchased 12 lights earlier this year. A few failed and they replaced them without any hassle!!! I would purchase them again because of their commitment to customer satisfaction!!!
Just the right size! Very Beautiful in person! Makes my yard POP!
This is a great set of solar path lights. I like the style, very modern and clean-looking. Assembly was easy, getting them into place took only a moment or two, and they started working the first night with only a few hours of charging. I do like how the light "pools" around these, so they're great for illuminating an area where you want some visibility, like around steps, for example. A great value, these work great and look really nice!
This is very bright and functions as it should it was easy to install but wished it was a bit bigger than anticipated
EDIT: I guess these not a lot more clear, direct sunlight than I had expected. We had been getting a lot of mostly cloudy days during the time I wrote this review. However, after getting a few days of good sun, these have been back to working well. Review has been adjusted to 5 Stars. Just keep in mind that these may not work consistently throughout Northern US winters. However, for the price, still worth it. I was initially really excited about these lights. The combination of price, features (choose from multiple colors and brightness options) and the fact that they’re solar powered was a great hook. Unfortunately, they worked for a total of 3 weeks before one of them pretty much stopped working - almost as if the battery can’t hold a charge anymore. It’ll turn on for a short period of time, then turn off. I’ve tried cleaning the panel of any dust and shining a light on it, which gets it to turn on for about 10 seconds, but then it dies again. I’ve tried calling the seller’s customer service phone number, but no one picks up. In summary, these lights showed a ton of promise with all their features and attractive price point...but none of that matters if they stop working after a few weeks.
I bought two sets of these. One set came with ripped packaging and the tape on the in inside torn with styrofoam damaged and the lights were not in individual wrapped plastic while the other set was sealed. Therefore the one set was clearly a return open/box and the other was brand new, although I paid full new price for both. Lights are very nice and all were in tact, so not worth the hastle to return, but very disappointed that the one set was clearly a return and not brand new and I paid full price for both. This is clearly false advertising and fraud since I was sent a non new item after paying for a new one. No way to contact seller and npcpsolar.com is no help at all since their customer service does nothing but basically read to you the directions to return when you contact them. So, be aware that you may receive a used/open box reason of these if you purchase new ones and be prepared to either just suck it up and keep them like I did or go through the hastle to return and repurchase in hopes you will actually get what you paid for. Wish I could actually review the lights, but i will say that the lights themselves do appear to be quality although the stakes are very flimsy and cheap and I predict will not hold up over time out in the elements. Update: I contacted xmcozy customer service and they quickly responded to remedy the problem. These lights are nicer than anything you will find at any of the big box stores for the price, and the company is legit and stands behind their product.
We have been using these lights for about 2 months now and they were the perfect finishing touch to our entryway! They are lightweight and easy to install. The angle of the light is easy to adjust. They are extremely versatile as you can also install them on your house or use the stakes for the ground. As you can see they shine brightly and really set the mood for the area. There are 3 different brightness options and we are using the brightest setting. Like any solar lights, they aren’t as bright on cloudy days, but that is to be expected. Highly recommend!!
The product is broken
I love solar lights and have many in a solar garden in my backyard. When these lights arrived, they were bigger than I was expecting, but more beautiful. The way that the LED fibers light up and change colors is so beautiful. Not sure why they are promoted as Christmas lights though, when they don’t look anything like Christmas or Christmas colors. These lights were easy to assemble as the metal leaves needed to be separated and the LED fiber lights attached. Super easy. The difficult part was securing them in the ground. I soaked the ground, because the ground here is hard, but even when I was able to push a screwdriver easily in to the ground, the metal stakes on the solar lights kept bending. I had to pull the stake back in to place and keep trying. They bend way too easily. I’m not happy with the quality.
