Product is made with durability. Hung outside on my patio and it looks great. If I had more space I would attach another string of lights. You will not be disappointed.
Bright and reliable, these solar deck lights offer excellent illumination with auto on/off functionality. Waterproof and durable, perfect for enhancing outdoor spaces with warm white ambiance
I like the build quality of these lights. They're very easy to install with a couple screws and I love that I can control the color temperature because I like warm lights. don't forget to set the color you want with the switch before you install them because once it's installed the switch is on the bottom side. The brightness is nice but not glaring. Just enough to light your way. Material is good quality metal and have some nice heft to them.
Bought this to light up the backyard to try and keep coyotes from jumping the fence. I use it on the lowest setting and it lights up the yard nicely (see photo). The large solar panel charges the battery nicely on the shorter winter days, and it stays lit at full power throughout the night, but only on the lowest setting. On the brighter setting it bleeds down to reduced light by morning. On longer days it will stay bright all night on the higher setting. What i don't like is the mount. I needed to shim out the bottom wall mount bolts to get a better angle. The biggest limitation is the solar panel mounting, that can't be adjusted towards the best sun direction. I made an adapter out of 1.5" sched 40 PVC to hold it up higher so it would clear the light housing, and used a heat gun to shape it to point in the right direction. Slots in the ends, hose clamps, and heat gun made the diameter match the existing fittings. Photo shows the finished arrangement- and it already made it through a windy day :).
Works perfectly. Very bright. Just wish light bulbs were closer together, but it looks nice still. String of light seem strong and sturdy, had them in snow and rain and still they work.
Great value. These solar-powered outdoor lights are sturdy and well constructed. The product was easy to set up and only required a few hours to charge in the sunlight. There is one button to turn on/off and control the 3 brightness modes. Since the first day, they have operated continuously with no problems, even though we have had many days of rain and clouds.
I’ve been using the VOLISUN Solar Driveway & Deck Lights for a few days now, and they’ve quickly become a favorite addition to my outdoor setup. Here’s how they’ve performed in real-life use: First off, the 2-in-1 lighting options are a fun feature. I mostly use the white light for practical purposes, like lighting up my driveway and front steps at night. It’s bright enough to see clearly but not overly harsh. The blue light is a nice touch for evenings when I want a more relaxed, decorative vibe—perfect for backyard gatherings. I even placed a few next to my pool just to get a feel for them before installing, and they looked fantastic, adding a subtle glow to the area. The solar-powered functionality works like a charm. I placed them in a sunny spot, and they charge effortlessly during the day. They turn on automatically at dusk and stay lit all night, which is super convenient. No need to remember to switch them on or off, and no wires to deal with—just set them and forget them. Durability is where these lights really shine. I was skeptical about how well they’d hold up, but the aluminum alloy shell is tough. I’ve accidentally driven over one (oops!), and it didn’t crack or break. They’ve also survived heavy rain and intense sun without any issues, thanks to the IP67 waterproof rating and heat-resistant design. One thing I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I do is the switch button. It lets me turn the lights off when I don’t need them, like during long trips, which helps extend their lifespan. It’s a small detail but makes a big difference. In terms of brightness, they’re more than adequate. The light spreads nicely, making pathways and steps clearly visible at night. I’ve even used a couple near my garden as subtle warning lights, and they work great for that too. Overall, these lights are a practical, durable, and versatile choice for anyone looking to brighten up their outdoor space. They’re not flashy or over-the-top, but they get the job done reliably—and that’s exactly what I needed.
I bought these again after a good experience with our first set. But the design has gotten smaller. I prefer the larger design, the color of the new version is also more orange than I remember. The first set did fade but we had them constantly outside. Still a good product but preferred the previous version.
WBM Smart Solar Outdoor, Waterproof Flickering Flames 96 LED Torches, Landscape Decoration Lighting Dusk to Dawn Auto On/Off for Garden Patio Driveway, 2 Pack- I love these solar lights! They look amazing at night. I put one on each side of the front walkway to my house. I love how they do look like a flame inside. They are bright enough to see from a distance too but they don’t cast a light onto the ground for the walkway which is fine because I use other solar lights for that. The assembly is almost nonexistent. It takes a few minutes to screw them together and that’s about it. The light lasts the whole night too. I’ve had a very similar pair for a while now so this is a perfect addition. The solar panel on the top is a bit sensitive to light so if my motion sensor lights go off sometimes they will trigger these torches to turn off. This doesn’t happen often though. They are sturdy if you place the pole firmly into the ground. I’ve been surprised some of the storms we’ve had haven’t caused any issues for these. They haven’t fallen or stopped working. They’ve been through a ton of rain too. That’s a good sign to me. Aesthetically these are fantastic. They really add a lot of character to the yard. The price point is close to what I expected. For a two-pack, I think it’s reasonable given the quality. They look great and have held up really well. I also like these as a gift, I got a set for my mother. I recommend giving these a shot.
The things I really like about this Deepn Solar Light is its moderate size (neither too large nor too small), ease of assembly, the bright light it produces, the powerful solar battery, and the versatility of the hand controller. There are multiple adjustments available to control brightness, timed lighting, and motion detection. Very impressive. The light radius produced is fairly large for its size (see attached picture). However, a few things concerned me. The instruction booklet that was included was not clear to me. I could have used a little more basic instruction presented in a more orderly fashion. Also, the weight of the light extending out from the pole worries me a bit. (See attached picture). Maybe it shouldn't. Where the arm is welded to the bracket that is fastened to a wall or pole experiences tremendous, leveraged, downward pull. Perhaps an angled brace would give more of a feeling of security that it won't snap off at the base in brisk wind or by gravity itself. I'm thinking I may have received a returned solar light because the fasteners had been disturbed and there were 2 nuts and a bolt missing. Fortunately I had bolts & nuts in my garage and replaced them without difficulty for the installation. I installed my light on a 4"x4" treated, wooden, tether-ball post (see attached picture) so my grandkids could see to play at night. I used my own extended length bolts in order to clamp on to the 4" post. The light also serves as a deterrent to unwanted visitors to our backyard. Overall, it appears to do well all it was designed to do, but, with a few criticisms listed above.
I was hoping this solar light would help light up my driveway. Without streetlights it can be hard to see our driveway from the road. It has different light settings, but not really just a normal bright white or soft white setting that I could determine. The nearest to white still has a purplish hue. It can cycle through all its color choices too on a rotation, but I just wanted it set to one. We have trees, but there's still a good 5 to 6 hours of sun that hits the solar panel on a clear day. The light works for a few hours with this about of sun, but no more than 4. I'm hoping I will get more out of it once Summer arrives and there's more daylight. It's not bright enough to light much more than a few feet. If you're going to use it to light up a sign or yard-art it should work for that. It will not be bright enough to light up a driveway though. As accent lighting on a plant would work too, but keep in mind it's going to need a good deal of direct sunlight to work. Unlike wired outdoor lighting this would also not be discrete. It is a large light and will stand out in your yard. For an easy to install, inexpensive option however, this may work if you can live with its limitations.
Updated Review: Shortly after leaving the original review below, the seller reached out to me and offered either a refund or replacement of the light. I opted for a replacement and the seller shipped that out quickly and the replacement light works perfectly. I edited my rating from 3 to 5 stars based on 1) The seller's great customer service and 2) I now have the light working just as described. Original Review: I ordered one of these lights to hang on my backyard fence to provide lighting and to alert me when something is passing by. It was easy to hang in an area that gets direct sun for at least 8 hours per day and I set it on the second setting which is to provide low light unless motion is detected then it would go brighter for a period of time. Well, the first night it worked perfectly. But the next couple of nights it detected a motion and then stayed on the bright setting which was really annoying when being viewed from inside the house. After going through the settings again and trying a second night to see if it was a fluke, it still stayed stuck on the motion setting once it was triggered. I decided to just use it on the low setting all the time and gave up on the motion detection. At the time I ordered it, the cost was $9 for the one light and it's probably worth that even without the motion detection functionality. But if you need that, I'm not sure they are worth it. And now the price is $154 for a pack of 4...wow, that is wayyyyy overpriced in my opinion (even if the motion detection worked on all 4 lights.
I got these lights for my boyfriend. I was beyond surprised when I was driving up to his house. These lights looks so beautiful and definitely captured the beauty of his yard. He had enough to do the front and back house. He was very happy with these lights
The only reason I did not rate with 5 stars is because it took longer to get them than expected. But once we got them and installed them, they look great. We did notice that after being outside for 3 weeks, the copper color faded a bit. I researched before I bought them and couldn't find them anywhere for this price, great buy!
I scoured npcpsolar.com looking for the best quality solar-powered string lights I could find and these were ideal for the money. The lights were fairly easily to install using hooks I also purchased on npcpsolar.com. Now, while not the brightest lights available, they are bright enough to keep nights going with family and friends. What sets these solar-powered lights apart is the color options, fade options, and brightness options you have to choose from to create your desired environment. Excellent appearence and performance so far. I RECOMMEND!
