These are really bright for their size and just what we needed to at least make would-be car burglars stop and look up long enough to have their mugshot taken on our driveway cam. Two things kept me from giving 5 stars: 1 the motion detection is outstanding but they want to shut back off in 10-15 seconds and I wish they’d stay on longer. 2- the quality is just ok. They are not flimsy but even tighten down all the way and the wind seems to knock them forward easily on their flip mount and it only took one hail storm of dime sized hail to break one right off the mount.
Our family has a cabin with a deck and large fenced in area with absolutely no light other than a pitch light so I have ordered two different sets of cap lights to try and add some light. These Norisun cap lights arrived quickly and were well packaged,, all 12 were operational out of the box but since they are solar I know I will have to install them in a sunny area because that’s what recharges them every day. The great thing about solar is you don’t have to have AC/DC electricity or install any underground wiring which makes them easy to install and they provide a good bit of light as long as they get sunlight for 4-6 hours/day, sometimes even an overcast day is enough to charge them. These lights are to be used on 4x4 or 3.5x3.5 wood or vinyl fence post and they can be installed with the included hardware or you can use the adhesive strips also included. The best feature of these post lights is the decorative glass and the extra trim on the housing. It just adds a nice little decorative touch that other cap lights don’t have. These lights also have 2 modes of light, a cool white light or an amber light which I personally prefer for deck lighting. It creates a nice ambience compared to the brighter white light. These post cap lights are a great value at $66 for12 which sometimes sounds like a lot but that’s only about $5.50 per light plus they are great quality with the decorative weather resistant housing and two light modes. They also provide some much needed light and they look great too!
Great LED Lights. Motion Detection works great. They are about 7 to 8ft from the ground. Our Dogs will set off the motion detection. They seem to charge up great during the day. The other one has a bit more exposure to the sun(light) but they both work equally well.
Product looks really amazing and perfect. The light is is really good and works great. The output is exactly what I expected and what I was looking for. It is a nice upgrade compared to what was already present when we purchased our home. I purchased two of these.
These work great. Put them in flower pots. Easy to move around. Everyone knows when you cut the grass it’s a pain to move.
My lights arrived on time. Instructions were easy to read which made installation super easy. Love that the lights are bright enough to light up entire swimming pool area.
I just installed these solar lights and think they look great at night shining on our house. We are probably going to order another set for another area on our house. The picture I posted was taken at dusk. The lights appear brighter the darker it is outside.
Work Great. Easy install. Got completely submerged for a whole tide and worked perfectly.
Super fun solar torches. Purchased for a Shark week pool party. They were realistic looking and added a warm tropical mood for the evening. I still have them in the ground two months later but will lift up and store until next year’s parties.
FIRST, MY FRIVEWAY RUNS DOWNHILL AT ABOUT A 15 DEGREE SLOPE AND IT'S A SHORT DRIVEWAY, AT NIGHT IT'S VERY HARD TO SEE WHERE YOUR GOING WHILE BACKING IN. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER 2020 SUBURBAN WHICH IS LIKE DRIVING A BOAT AND HAS BOTH SIDE MIRRORS PLUS THE CAMERA, WHEN WE ARRIVED HOME LATE ONE NIGHT AND WHILE BACKING IN SHE NEARLY HIT MY TRUCK WHICH WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF THE GARAGE SO I PURCHASED A SET OF 12 OF THESE LIGHTS AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB BUT IT WASN'T ENOUGH SO I PURCHASED ANOTHER SET OF 12 AND IT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. THAT BEING SAID WHAT I DID IS I WENT AND PURCHASED DECORATIVE FLAT BLOCKS AND GLUED THE LIGHTS TO THEM SO THEY WOULD STAY IN PLACE AND I HAD A CONTRACTOR COME BY ONE DAY AND HE WANED TO KNOW WHERE I BOUGHT THEM. THE THING IS HE THOUGHT I PURCHASED THE BLOCK AND LIGHT AS A SET UNTIL I TOLD HIM WHAT IT DID, HE THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT IDEA. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMMEND THESE LIGHTS TO ANYONE, I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH THESE LIGHTS WHATSOEVER!
We have a couple two-hundred pound dogs, so we buy these heavy rope-ball toys for horses for them. I meant to throw it over the lights for them in the yard..I threw it pretty hard, hit the light poles dead on with it by accident and thought for sure they bent, but nope, not even a little. Also they were about a foot too high for me, but no problem, you can cut off however much you want and the plug on the end is removable and can be plugged back in to where you cut it down too. These were expensive, but I saw too many others that would bend just under the weight of the lights. I am so not worried about that with these. One thing I would say to be careful of is when you screw the bottom section into the top it has two screws, careful not to overtighten.
The solar lights are good for up to 10 hours after charging all day.
Only a bracket is needed to position the light without obstruction of the roof drip edge flashing. This was in my case . I designed a bracket to to avoid it and have the solar cells charge properly.
The garden solar lamps have a beautiful design and color. They’re made of plastic, and it feels fairly strong. However, some of the lamps came with scratches on the solar panel, which was a bit disappointing. Installation was fairly easy; it only took about 3 minutes to assemble and set each one into the ground. I like that these lamps have internal rechargeable batteries and integrated solar panels, which means I don't have to worry about wiring or replacing batteries. They also have with a light sensor for automatic operation, which I find convenient. The light strength is good, and the pack comes with six lamps, providing good light across the patio. Despite the scratches, they work as expected. They look good, they’re easy to install, and the solar recharging function works well. I believe they’re a good investment.
I have bought 2 sets of these to light my pathway. The assembly and set-up is super simple. They seem durable enough. They provide just enough glow to keep you on the path without lighting up the entire night sky. If you are looking for light to see in dark, these are not the right choice. They are more of a guiding glow. I reason for 4 stars is price... I paid $20 for 1st set and because I loved them I wanted more. I ordered 2nd set and the price had doubled. I paid too much for the 2nd set, but wanted them anyways. At that price I will not buy a third. I have had them a couple months now and they continue to work fine. The charge last about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs into the darkness. They would likely last longer if I had them set up in full sun during the day, but I do not. They get the light that peaks through the trees, since my backyard is quite shaded. I very much enjoy the "flickering" glow of these solar lights and if you can find a better price, would highly recommend.
