I bought this lamp for my patio, its weight is very light, easy to install, it can be adjusted, its light is powerful and it shines a lot, the best thing is that it has a solar panel and does not need batteries and I really like the motion sensor. worth for the cost!
So beautiful and easy to install! Love them!
I love this little planter and light—it looks great, the light shines bright, and it stays on until sunrise. The lumens output is surprisingly strong for a solar light, and it adds the perfect charm to the yard. ASSEMBLY: That said, assembly was no joke. The instructions mention it takes “great force” to insert the pole bracket into the planter base, and they were absolutely right. I had to put it on the ground and use my full body weight to get it in place. Out of the 40 minutes it took to assemble, 35 were spent wrestling that one connection. Once it’s in, it’s solid—but just be ready to fight with it a bit. PLANTER: The planter has four drainage holes—one at each corner—which is a nice touch if you're putting in live plants. Just know the planter is NOT deep, so keep that in mind when choosing what to plant. Overall, I’m really happy with the look and performance. It’s cute, sturdy, and the light output exceeded my expectations. If you don’t mind a little muscle during setup, it’s worth it!
Bright, detects my black dog well. Easy installation, came with extra screws
Wow. What a complete disaster. Unless you want to put a post every 2 feet, these poles are useless. I should have known there was trouble and just stopped when I saw the top of one of the poles was bent (see photo) upon unpacking but I assumed it was a mfg or shipping error, not because these were pre-used and ruined. I also really wanted to put them up. As I began assembly, one of the sections was completely stripped (see far right of pole photo), but I still plowed ahead thinking I’d just use 8 foot height and not 10 and it would still work out. As soon as I put the first one in the ground - which is a solid claw like 5 piece affair I should add - and ran my light strand to it from about 10-12 feet away (but also plugged in higher than the pole since I was forced to reduce the height of the pole) the whole thing started leaning at each seam from the weight towards my outlet / house. Put the other one in the ground and started experimenting. Quickly realized that any weight / tension of more than about 2-3 feet of light strand was simply too much for the poles. Maybe it’s the half inch of threading? Maybe it’s the thin diameter of the posts? All I know is I’ll never be able to go from my outlet / house to the edge of my patio with these as it’s a bit wider than 3 feet. But I now know why I was sent someone else’s reject: they failed with them and retuned them. Unless I’ve missed the return window I will at least try and tell npcpsolar.com that they’re defective so they don’t just ship this pack back out to someone else. I’ll most likely look to local garden centers for solid one-piece poles before trying to hang my lights again.
Very bright all night (at thirty percent level). It has a far range of motion sensing. It picks up movement from further away than others we use with sensors. (It also seems to respond when bright light hits it from the other light that's about one-hundred feet away. This means the whole driveway lights up when someone approaches to give appearance that we know they are there. Love that.) Comes with two remote controls. One will work both lights together or separately if they're too far apart. (Remotes come with batteries too.) Battery doors close securely and remotes seem durable while still compact and light. These remotes allow you to choose from four brightness settings; turn motion sensor on or off; and timers for full brightness for set amount of time followed by low intensity with motion sensing. Also on/off option. Mounting hardware is excellent--including wall-mount brackets that can also be used with poles and awesome hardware/fastening solutions. Mounting poles are metal with coating for durability. About the photo: The housing has a grill pattern that would fill with moisture and freeze in winter so we filled it with silicon so expanding ice doesn't crack it.--There are drain holes but we think those could freeze-up.
These trees are cute and easy to assemble and store. They have different modes where you can choose blinking lights or lights that just stay in. They come fully decorated so all you have to do is shape the branches.
Pretty decently bright lights. I have four set up in a round pen for horses and they do the trick. Setup was fairly easy. Battery life seems good also. There are some cons however. The nuts and bolts are too small for the size of the hole on the mounting brackets. I had to buy my own and get some washer too, which wasn’t overly expensive. The instructions included aren’t really instructions. It’s just a picture of the light and mount and numbers. I have enough knowledge to figure it out, but actual directions may have been useful. Also, the pole mount is pretty flimsy and bendy. I have inch and a half metal conduit and it was difficult to mount to the pole. Came up with some MacGyver stuff to get them to stay put. However, I will say their customer service was GREAT.!Prompt response to my inquiry and replaced one of the lights that had broke in transit. I think I got the new light within two days. So kudos for that! I will say I don’t think they’re as bright as advertised, but for my use I think that’s ok! I could see these useful for a back yard or by a shed or driveway. Remote control works alright. A plus is all the remotes work for all the lights, so even though each light comes with two, you only need one. Back ups!
Holy crapola I didn’t think these things would work so well for the price but the lit up my pool and hot tub pretty good (see pics). Definitely worth the money. I’ve purchased a lot of solar lights this past year so hopefully they last more than a few months. I’ll let you know but it’s been a few months and so far so good.
This is the second Nocturne Firefly we’ve purchased, as it’s exactly what we need in our backyard, and there is nothing else like it on the market (that I can find). The Firefly is attractive and seems sturdy and well built. We had a wind advisory last week and the Firefly stood strong through the gusts (I filled the base with water). The light is warm and pleasing, and I appreciate the ability to choose among three different brightness levels. While the bluetooth speaker is rather tinny sounding, it's a welcome addition to the product. We bought it for the light, so the speaker is a bonus feature for us. Set up was simple, and we are very happy with the value - we no longer need to hire an electrician to install lights at the back of our house! I recommend this product without reservation and have already told several friends and family members about the Nocturne Firefly. Thanks for creating this lamp! PS - The first photo shows the patio of our backyard without the lamp turned on. In the second photo (taken on a different night), the Nocturne Firefly is on the brightest setting.
I will be ordering more. The lights are solar with the option of electrical connection so they're easy to install. They're not too bright but give the right amount of lightt for the columns at the front of the yard. The lights turn on at dusk and lasts to dawn. They look great! UPDATE: I ORDERED 3 MORE. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, ONE OF THE LIGHTS FROM THE FIRST ORDER STOPPED WORKING. LAST NIGHT, ANOTHER LIGHT THE SECOND ORDER STOPPED WORKING. Update: No response from the seller. With the assistance of an electrcian, i got one of the lights to turn on. I ordered another I ordered another light after realizing I wouldn't get any help.
I ordered this product twice. I should have waited. By the time the 2nd set came only 8 of the 12 worked anymore. The new batch is about the same. 2 out of the 12 dont charge at all after about two weeks. My advice, hold on to your money. It has been sunny all day and 6 lights dont work. YES I turned them on before installing them and have checked them twice. Horrible product when 1/4 dont work after a short period.
I purchased these solar lights to highlight my landscaping. They charge during the day and provide accent lighting to my plants at night. They turn on automatically after sunset and cast a white light. The only thing I would’ve liked was if the lights were brighter. However, they serve their purpose well.
These lights are awesome! They're big, unbreakable, and super bright with enough light. Tried them in the front yard that has low light, but they really shine in the full light backyard, especially for marking the fence. Love it, and love not adding to the electric bill for outdoor lighting - or having to deal with outdoor plugs!
This is a very large solar light, which can also be hard wired. It is 9.8 inches square, and 7 inches tall. With the remote, the light can be changed from warm white to bright white, and also to red. The light is not extremely bright, kind of a medium bright. I am not an expert on IP65 waterproof, but this light has holes in the bottom and the plastic panels have movement in them, and are not sealed. I could not find any information on the battery or if it can be replaced. If you hard wire this light, you need to purchase an E27 bulb and install it.
