   This is a much larger unit than I anticipated. It’s seriously hefty, with a massive solar panel and two large lights on the arms. This is NOT your typical light duty light. The arms can be moved by loosening the retaining screws and rotating around the elbow joint. There is also rotation at the shoulder. This gives you a couple of degrees of freedom so it is easy to point the lights where you wish. The solar panel uses a ball and socket joint to twist around. You can use the unit horizontally or vertically. A stake is used for vertical placement in flower beds (etc) while there is a dedicated rectangular base for mounting vertically or horizontally. The control system is easy to use and familiar from other units. The power button appears to be waterproof. If you mount in a flower bed, the weight forces you to bury the stake fully in the ground. If you put it in 2/3rds of the way it will wobble. It’s that heavy. If you want to mount it on a wall, be aware that it will take up a fair bit of real estate. It won’t be unobtrusive. The motion sensor works as advertised. I tested it out at night a few times and it turned on as expected. All in all, a good light. Just be aware of the size and weight.

   These are great, I have a large backyard and no power pulled anywhere. So, I either need to get involved in trenching & cable running, and that just seems like too much work just to light up the backyard. Therefore, solar is the next best thing, I picked out a spot where it will get the most sun year-round and mounted them to the fence. The problem is solved.

   It was very easy to mount, and the hardware was included as well. Very easy to operate, although the were instructions, I certainly didn’t need to even open them up. With a few minutes of work, it was already up and running.

   If you ONLY want a light that comes on for a minute or two, this is the light for you. We wanted it to stay on in our yard on the low setting with the bright light coming on when animals came over the fence. However, it ONLY comes on when motion is detected and then only stays on a minute or so.
