   I discovered solar lights years ago, and only had a set that lasted years, while others are just around a year, so when I saw these, I ordered. They arrived securely packaged and with all the necessary components for installation. I had a little difficulty with two of the tops not sliding into place as they should and there is not that much to hold on to without feeling the fragile nature of the plastic parts. The lights have some weight mainly due to the glass portions. There are two insulated switches under the solar top: one is for the channel selection and the other controls the brightness of the lumens. There are four channels, so you decide how you want them to respond; they can all be independent or group as many on whichever channel you prefer…but you must choose a channel since it is in the off channel position out of the box which I found out the hard way. The other switch is for brightness of the lumens, so you can choose between warm, bright, or daylight. If set on the same channel, these lights will communicate so if one light is triggered from the motion sensor then whichever lights are set on the same channel will come on as well. They remain in a dim state from dusk til dawn and once triggered will illuminate to the full brightness that you’ve set. They are not as sensitive to triggering as I had hoped since I had to be within a few feet for them to get bright and if I stood still they dimmed. They need at least 8 hours of sun a day for proper functioning and they automatically come on at dusk on dim. I like the look of these and I’m hoping they last a few years (warranty is for one year); however, one statement in the installation instructions states keep away from humid environment…if that’s truly the case then they will be short lived since it’s very humid where I live…time will tell.

   They function mostly as described, albeit sometimes the lights seem to be a bit finicky. My main issue is the material is relatively cheap surrounding the actual stake and even setting a piece into my ground result in it becoming fairly loose/wobbly requiring additional support. Probably would not buy again as I would go for a more metal structure entirely to last for more than a year, albeit these solar charging units don’t typically last very long by design as is so future purchases on my part would just need to be wired or replaceable batteries.

   I bought these for when my elderly Dad visits. He likes to walk to the porch outside and is a fall risk. Low level lights aren’t enough for him but high level ones drive me nuts.
   With these, i get what i like (low level) but when someone walks by the high level kicks on along the path.
   An unexpected benefit is that you can face the motion detectors in a variety of directions to cover your walking zone- with the mesh any that pick up motion turn them all on. I now love them and plan to get a set extend these to our exterior entry basement.
   I’ve had them 6 months now and they keep growing on me. They even last all night.

   So happy I found these. I was looking for lights with motion sensors, but was pleasantly surprised to see that these can link up and illuminate simultaneously. Setup was self explanatory and only took about 10 minutes. You can choose the color and channel they work on with simple switches on the inside of the solar panel/led part. Excellent price, I bought two 4-packs for my driveway.

   Also a plus: they arrived with a charge so I was able to set the colors on the first use at night. Build quality feels very good.

   After about two months I noticed the light would fade quickly in the evening barely giving enough light to allow people to use my front steps. I would not buy these again.
