These lights are just what I need for our rural road during the foggy times of the year here in Northern California. The fog is so bad some nights and early mornings that there are times I can’t find the turn-off to our road, and if I do find it, worry that I’ll wind up in a ditch. These red LED lights are very bright and can be seen from a great distance. The red color penetrates the fog and points the way to safely navigate the road. Recharges with sunlight and then works all night long. Just place them where you want them and forget about them. They take care of themselves.

It took several days to come to full power, but now works great. Stays lit until well past midnight. The Red Light version does not SEEM to be nearly as bright as the Green version, but that may be a function of the frequency of light and not the unit. Paired with the Green version, they make great nautical signal lights for our driveway at the beach.

Bought green and red a while ago. Original batch worked fine. Red light got flooded and I repurchased the item. The new red light does not last more than a few hours and starts to flicker. Green continues to work fine. Lighting is the same for both as they are a few feet apart with same sun exposure.

Difficult to install. The provided bolts do not allow for a wrench or ratchet to pull them down tight to your driveway. You’ll need to use needle nose pliers to tighten the bolt or get concrete screws/glue to lock them down. Battery is not replaceable so not sure how long they last.
Update: 2.5 years later and one of them died. These were used as driveway markers and were run over a number of times.

This product was purchased to install on a driveway gate to see after dark wether or not the gate was open or closed. Has been installed for 4 weeks or so and the light only stays on maybe an hour at best after sunset. Waste of money if you expect it to stay on more than an hour. Light area showed condensation after a week of being installed. Installed in Atlanta plenty of sunlight.
Don’t buy this it’s a MMPOS.
Update: npcpsolar.com sent me a replacement about 3 weeks ago. Please note that I did not ask them too it came unsolicited. So for the past 3 weeks I have watched it every night to see when it came on and how long it lasted. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on sunny days it lasted from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am. A full 12 hours. I was only hoping for 4 or 5 hours for my needs.
So maybe I received a defective product? I am willing to give a fair evaluation as I expect everyone else to as well. So for this reason I am changing my rating to a 5 star.

I really recommend this product. I bought it to put on my driveway it’s very good looking and value for the money. It has a good size, battery life lasts good, it gets easily charged even during clouded days and its water resistance.
