Received these for the back deck as we wanted to light up the deck without having to put the porch lights on as they are too bright for late night relaxing. We ordered 18 lights, one for each deck post as we could not find ones that would fit from our local hardware stores. We have plastic posts (4″x4″) and ones we could find were either too big or too small to fit over the plastic decking and were made for wooden posts. These fit perfect and so far have not had to screw them in to the posts (screws are included) and even in a moderate wind they did not move.
Lights charge quickly and we put them on the posts at 2:30pm and by 8:00 they were already lighting up. Light is a clear bright light but is not too bright and does not annoy the neighbors. Bright enough to sit out on the deck at night and be able to see and talk but also allows privacy. Can’t say how long the solar lights will light up but over the weekend we were out from 8:00pm until 1:30am and they were lit the entire time.
Great product and well worth the purchase.

**UPDATE: I have had these for just over a year now. Some of the batteries needed replacing but they still work. Dropped my review from 5 to 3 stars because the once white light housings are now an ugly yellow and no longer match my fence. Looks pretty bad during the day but the lights at night are still nice.
Installed 20 of these 3 weeks ago and they look great. Assembly was a snap. 2 of the lights were very dim and I contacted customer support. They immediately sent 2 replacements. I would definitely order these again.

We just installed these this summer on our deck at the cottage. We had another product prior to this, doing the same job, but after 2 years each post over had yellowed to a very ugly yellow. We needed to replace them as they were unsightly. We tried this product. So far, they look lovely, work well, with just the right amount of lumination . Only time will tell as to how well the stand up, and how they winter.

I got these because they were inexpensive and I needed all 18. I’ve used them for several weeks and they work as well as expected given the waning daylight, but I’m sure they’ll work a lot better in the summer when there’s more light.
The led light on each was off to the side, which made it somewhat directional. That was easily remedied by gently bending the light to point toward the reflector (which also needed to be pressed into place). Make sure you use a magnetic screwdriver as the screws are super small and need to go into the corners. Without that, you’ll likely be beating them against your head in frustration. Also, make sure you test them in a dark place prior to screwing them back together to make sure the power is on and the light is aligned as desired.

On the button plate is 4 screws under the light, which is where the on switch is and battery. So getting 18 of them, my husband will be doing this 18 times. Wow! Could have easily put switch on bottom. Just received them a few minutes ago, so will let you know how they work in a update review tomorrow. So far, they look nice on our deck post.
I really wanted people to know, where the switch was, as there are no instructions.
UPDATE.: They are not a true 4×4 post holder. You have to split the difference between each side of the post to look even. The screws are super small underneath and hard to get off and line them back up after you turn it on. Otherwise, they just put enough light where it is pretty and doesn’t draw bugs. I don’t see them lasting 2 years, but we will find out.

They do not give off a lot of light but look really nice. I put them on my front porch and back deck. I sprayed a clear coat on them hoping they will last more than one year. The white ones I got the year before turned yellow and look horrible. I can’t continue to get new ones every year.

These are at a great price and they are easy to install and look great when they are lit up. There are no instructions on how to turn them on so let me save you some aggravation. Hold the bottom and twist the top to remove it. You will need to twist it with some effort and when the top comes off you will see the on/off switch.
