We bought these because we live at the top of a steeply terraced yard. Our stairs are also steep, but they don’t get a lot of illumination from the street lamps, so it can be really hard to see in the dark. Because we haven’t yet been able to replace the banister the previous owner tore out, and because the steps are steep and cracked with age, we really needed some way to mitigate the danger of using them in the dark. These do this perfectly. The light they give off isn’t super bright; it’s the perfect soft nightlight color of a good nightlight. for all of that, they light up the stairs really well, defining each step and the larger, more dangerous cracks. They fir perfectly flush with the steps, so we can easily make sure they stay in the corner and not become a tripping factor.
The only thing I can complain about is that I wish more came in a pack. This pack has doesn’t have quite enough lights to illuminate every other step on just the side. But I’m not complaining. It’s a good enough value to grab a second set for added safety!

Horrible Quality DO NOT BUY I’ve previously purchased solar landscape lights from npcpsolar.com that performed exceptionally well, providing hours of bright light from solar power alone. With high expectations, I bought these new ones, only to be utterly disappointed—they’re a waste. Placed in the same location and set to the brightest mode, these lights are a dud, barely visible even an hour after turning on. Learn from my mistake and opt for a different brand; I’ve already lost $70, so you don’t have to.
