   These arrived well packaged. Each light was bubble wrapped and it included a set of instructions. the panels themselves also came protected with a film to prevent them from scratching during shipping. When I see that style of packaging, to me, it means the company cares about first impressions. And it worked. Tells me right away this company does care about the quality of their product and wants it protected as best as they can. The main housing is made from some sort of ABS plastic, and it appears to be 100% sealed. I looked at every seam on all four lights and di not notice any openings. I am a mechanical engineer, and the actual plastic is thick, and it feels robust. The molding is smooth, meaning there are no sharp exposed edged caused by the mold. I have no doubt in my mind that these will stand up to our Northeast New England climates. On the base of the light there are two holes to be used if you want to secure this to something. And on the base of the light three is a hole for the ground spike to be inserted. The ground spike is id roughly 8 inches long and again is some sort of ABS plastic. It is also well made, again meaning no rough edges anywhere and the top is just a touch smaller than the hole in the bottom of the light housing. And this makes for a very nice “snug” fit. I do like that the light is adjustable. However, I (in my opinion) I wish the solar panel had a side to side “tilting” feature to it along with the up and down feature. This would allow me to literally place these lights anywhere and still be able to capture as much of the sun as possible. Just as a side note, the lights came already charged and that was a surprise. I will be using these lights to highlight my landscaping in the front of my house so the motion detection portion really will not apply to me. But there are multiple settings for different levels of sensitivity. These feel robust and I cannot wait to get these fully installed.

   Did not come with any instructions in the box however instructions in the product description are sufficient. They were packed well and the solar panels had a protective cover. The single button to turn lights on and switch modes means you don’t actually know when they are on and what mode it is in out of the box prior to attempting to charge them, but they need to be on to charge. I charged all four lights in direct sunlight for 5 hours and the lights wouldn’t turn on. Since there is no indicator that they are in fact charging and no way to know if they are on or off out of the box, I feel like I am wasting a lot of time just to get them to work. They appear to be a decent size and quality for the price. Hoping to get them up and running to scare off skunks soon!

   Installation – Fairly easy to install (you may need a hammer if you plan to put this in the earth).
   Brightness – this is fairly bright. the lighting should satisfy most users.
   Solar – charged well. solar panels flex well and feels sturdy enough.
   Motion sensors – excellent and very good range
   Looks – blends in with surroundings and the design looks pleasant.

   NB – solar panel does not swivel horizontally 180 degrees therefore adjusting it exactly where the sun would be can be a challenge.

   Functionality – Had to play around with the various button settings to understand how they worked (manual was not entirely clear on some things). But, after studying the product, I found it to be fine.
