We have many solar charged lights around our property. These need to be in direct sunlight for as much time as possible all day. We first placed them on the North side of some plants so we could see the plants light up with color at night, but after the first night they only had the cool colors for a couple hours, then less and less until no light. We moved them so that the panels are in direct sunlight with no shade cast on them at all. This is a no brainer that solar charged lights need sunshin, but we have many other solar lights that get sun only 50% or less during the day and ones that are in the shadow of a tree and they last all night without issues. Either the batteries don’t hold much of a charge or the lights drain the batteries quickly, wither way, don’t expect these to last all night or to be extremely bright. We have plugged in spot lights for the areas we want bright light for long periods of time. No solar spot light will give you a bright light that lasts all night unless it have a very large panel and batteries. We will defenitely buy more of these in the future to illuminate more plants further from the house. Styles like this are best where the solar panel and light(s) can be adjusted independantly so that you can get the panel facing the sun as much as possible and the light aimed where you want. Don’t buy spot lights with the solar panel affixed to the top of the light, you can only point the light North and the panel South (if you’re in the Northern hemisphere). Buy these and enjoy the light show everynight!

These solar lights work great. They’re equipped with a large 4 way adjustable solar charging panel. Adjustable light positions & colors for solid or changing patterns. Bright and last anywhere from 6 to 10 hours, depending on sunshine charge time. Easy to put together and way worth the money.

I ordered these to provide a little color pop for the house to go along with the other Christmas lights. There are many color options and used the standard red and green for several weeks. For New Years switched to blue. They stayed charged for about 5 hours each night and provide the color pop I was looking for.

I bought this product 4 months ago to use instead of putting Christmas lights up this year. I am very happy with this purchase. Not only did the lights make the front of the house glow beautifully for Christmas, but they are great for the entire year. The best part is you can change colors, so I did pink for Valentines and have green now for St. Patricks. There is even a multi color fading option. They are very flexible to adjust where you want them to shine. Lights are still on in the early morning when I go out for a walk, they last until the sun comes up.
