Well, when you spend almost 10 bucks a pop, you expect something a little more substantial than this. Not only are these cheap and flimsy plastic, half of my 8 units did not work, even if I put in new batteries. I’m pretty unhappy with the product, and can’t even return them because I already installed them all and trashed the boxes. Just sol and very disappointed at the money I spent.

Look good and bright but …
I agree with other reviewers that there should be some attachment from the light to the base. I drilled two extra holes in the base to screw the upper to the base so they wouldn’t blow off. The don’t fit very tightly to a standard 4X4 post. I used a couple of screws to connect to the post but they still aren’t stable. I should use a third screw so they don’t seem unstable.
I had one unit in the last couple of days that stopped lighting. I worked on it and finally determined that the battery while still charging wasn’t apparently supplying sufficient current to light the LED. I bent the positive terminal to make better contact and it now seems to be working.
Great light and look nice but will see what the reliability is. 8/25/17 – Unit that I thought was a terminal issue has failed and it doesn’t appear to be a connection or battery issue.

What I like is the easy set up and it is easy! Lights are okay and they are a modern look with a low profile. The white frosted plastic panels are nice and throw off more light. The set of 8 is good. Wished they had a pack of 10
The seller was great too. I had one in the set of 4 boxes of 2 and one of the switches was bad and the solar light would not take a charge even trying 3 different new batteries. The seller replaced the top and sent it to me as that is all I needed. Overall pleased with the product, price and speed in which I received the product. I’d give this seller a 10 as outstanding. Good work seller!

This set of post lights is good quality, works well, and is a pretty good value for your bucks. Two things to be aware of: The set is a dark brown vinyl color… many PVC deck fences are a lighter brown so be aware that it may not match your color just because it’s “Brown”. Also it’s in two pieces which have nothing to hold them together (one sits on top of the other) so the top part can easily separate from the bottom part, and blow off the post if it’s windy. Moreover, the bottom part which sits on the post has no provision for attachment to the post… the photos appear to show a hole for screwing it to the post perhaps, but in fact there is no hole there. Of course if you have a screw gun, you can easily zap a screw through the plastic and into the post. (I would pre-drill the hole though… any plastic can split easily). However attaching the bottom part that you screwed to the post, to the top part to keep it from being able to blow off…. that you will have to figure out for yourself… Certainly possible but you’ll have to plan it out with long thin screws or some other method. If you glue them together you won’t be able to change the battery if you ever need to do that…….

I love these lights! I put all 8 of them on the porch/deck railing about 4 feet apart in the front of the house and they look amazing! I have gotten so many compliments on it. They also light up the walk way (porch) so I don’t have to turn my porch light on. They aren’t super bright, but put enough light out to see where you’re going. They get plenty of sun everyday to stay lit all night long until dawn. They are plastic and somewhat light weight, but I’m not worried about the quality at all. I will buy these again with no hesitation.

These lights are very easy to install. I like the light that comes off from them because they light up my deck at night. Perfect to sit out and enjoy the deck.

I HAVE THE LIGHTS SCREWED AROUND MY DECK RAILING AND SO FAR (ITS BEEN A MONTH) HAVE BEEN BURNING BRIGHT. I LOVE THEM AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE THEM AGAIN. I KNOW THEY WON’T LAST FOREVER…WHAT DOES ANYMORE? THEN I WOULD JUST PURCHASE ANOTHER SET SINCE THEY WERE INEXPENSIVE. THANK YOU…IT WAS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!

Okay. These are as described. They’re cheap, plastic, solar powered fence post (4×4) lights that highlight the fence when the evening darkness comes around. We’ve been using these for several years now. I added to the fence so I needed more post lights. Voila, I ordered more and they arrived in relatively short order. There’s nothing to installing them. You simply open the batter compartment, install two batteries (included), flip the switch to “on” and screw the base onto the top of the post and insert the light component into the base (simple procedure). Don’t overthink it. Let them charge for about twelve hours (or more, so set them out early in the morning to get the full 12 hours 6a.m-6p.m. or so, and let them charge). Once they’re in place they’ll last for quite some time. Our original lights are still working after two years. We’ve replaced the batteries on the old ones once. This order was to cap additional posts that I put in to extend our fence. They’re great products for the price.
