   This is a modern appearing solar-charged light. I appreciate that there is no wiring involved as it is totally DIY. It charges with the Sun and stays on most of the night. The fixture comes with a template that allows you to hang the base-holding screws accurately. You then fit the base onto the screws where it can be easily removed. Because I have it situated under a canopy I usually have to remove it daily and let it charge directly under the sunlight. It manages to throw an below-average beam of light. I would think of this as more of a small coverage accent light rather than a light that will provide wide coverage. The LEDS top and bottom spread little illumination and give more of a twinkly effect. I still need to use a recessed light above to provide adequate illumination. This light box seems a little pricey for what it accomplishes but if you like the idea of not needing an electrician or the extra work to wire and install this just might work for you. Just don’t expect the light you would get from an AC powered lamp.

   I was actually pretty impressed with this design. Great look for the cost and the Edison style bulb is one of my favorites. I was a little concerned that where I was installing the unit wouldnt get enough sun, but no issues on Low staying on all night.

   I am only using this light to light some steps that lead down to the driveway. I didnt want to have to run power to that location and there was nothing nearby to light the way. Perfect solution!

   I tested on High and it stayed on through the night for the first week, but I found it was a little too bright and not subtle like I wanted, so low is fine. It would be nice if a sensor would activate to high if it sensed movement, but not a big deal and wasnt expecting one to work for it either.

   Overall, would get another one, great product, made of metal and not cheap plastic. Looks like the finish will hold up to a few seasons easily. Nice.

   Review for: TECHKO Outdoor Solar Wall Lights, Square Wall Sconce, Aluminum Metal Black, Modern Minimal Design Light Fixture, Waterproof IP65, Lights for Landscape, Yard, Exterior Lighting. This light looks nice and is the right size for what I wanted to do with it. It is metal, not plastic like a lot of others. It was easy to mount and comes with required screws and anchors. I wanted it to light my address block on the front of my house. It is not very bright even on high, but was good enough to light up my address, so it could be seen from the street. You can see in the picture the light is mounted just above the address block (white). You can’t tell the LED brightness in the picture because my phone camera adjusted and makes it look like it is daylight. You can also see there are 4 LEDs, one at each corner. It is the same on the top. The problem with this light is it only lasts a few hours at a brightness that is useful. It is very dim after a few hours, maybe 3 hours. It doesn’t light up the address for the entire night as I expected with it’s 18650 battery. I have some 18650 flashlight, and they are bright and last a long time. The battery is sadly, not user replaceable. I did take the back off (attached with screws), and found the battery, but it is hard wired (soldered). It would have been nice if you could replace the battery. I may try to solder one of my 18650 batteries in to see if it works better. I have nothing to lose except a battery, since it is not useful as it is. And if I just remove it, there will be two holes in my bricks I will have to repair. I did wait for three nights to see if it did better after some days to charge, but it performed about the same each night. It was sunny with no clouds the last two day but still, it only lasted a few hours. To be fair, it doesn’t get direct sun on the solar panel where I have it mounted, but it does get good light for a good portion of the day. If it requires direct sun, it would not be good for most applications.
