I will do a review in 3 months to show how the lights are holding up… the biggest disappointment was that the product is missing several screws to hold the light together. Putting it together is no problem but it made is upsetting to not have all the parts needed to do so. So I gave 4 stars… hopefully they light will and I will come back for another follow up…

They install easily. We mounted on porch columns facing east with a garage to the right of them which blocks sun in fall and winter after 9-10:00 am. They charge even with less than 25% of the day direct sunlight. I will add that one which gets about 40% of the day does a little better on rate of discharge. The warm or white color choice feature is nice. We leave ours set to be on after sunset at the partial setting; they instantly respond to people or pets approaching and go to max output. They turn off at dawn. Only the one with more daily sun can make it all the way to dawn on the low partial setting. If I set them to off, lite only if they sense traffic, both would be ready to lite all nite if they sense movement. Our last set (different make and model) only lasted two years. Time will tell on these.

The frame is plastic and so cheap. The bottom of my frame was cracked in half when I removed it from the box. You also have to assemble each lantern so you see how cheap and fragile each part is and how it is made.

Update: despite missing hardware, I like these simple lights. Elegant and contemporary. I’ll settle for them because they look okay. A little overpriced for what they are (simple plastic pieces you assemble yourself). But the light element seems to be high quality.
Missing screws. Searched all through the package. They didn’t include enough to put 2 lamps together. Yes, you must assemble these cheap plastic lamps. Luckily I had an assortment of screws to use.
