   I like these. I broke the wire and put in a (remote operated) power switch so I can control when they come on.
   The solar panel houses the batteries (3v) and has a rubber coated push switch to turn them on. You can set up different modes, low and high make sense, but flashing does not, by repeatedly pressing the switch. They only operate at night. I figured all this complexity might mess up me adding an inline switch located more conveniently. But it didn’t. They just work the first time I tried it out. I didn’t even have to press the built in switch once.
   They are fairly bright. We have them zig zagged across a 12 foot wide wall of light panel and they do pretty good for ambiance. I used long hooks off the wall that keeps the plastic bulb housing spaced away from hitting the wall.
   This project was successful!

   I rarely ever write a review and certainly not about something I bought 18 months ago but when I bought them, I read a lot of the other reviews and was concerned by a few things, notably the color, the durality of the bulbs and whether they would get enough sunlight. I was worried about nothing!! The lights are strung around my deck with big trees above them and plenty of squirrels. I was concerned debris would fall from the trees and smash the bulbs or squirrels would damage them. 18 months later no issues whatsoever. They get enough sunlight to charge despite the trees above and the color is a perfect warm white. Buy them without hesitation!!

   ..bought Again~ i use them for my Horse Stable, inside and out. i liked the first Set so much, i added a second one inside. ..then decided to light the exterior, too~ ..just be Careful, when unscrewing the Bolt to install the base.. there is a tiny Nut sitting flush on the end, and if U drop it, U might not find it –! (..speaking from experience, the first-time..but i Did finally spot it!) ..AND, i decided to use different screws, as the ones included are so soft, that my cordless bits stripped them.. -other than that, these are awesome!

   Well probably my own fault but I bought these a few years ago and never opened them until now (-_-) but I just put them up and they were in full sun for hours and I went to put them on anddd nothing. I pressed the button for 3 seconds like it said , a bunch of times, and no light came on. Ugh – any advice ?
