   Bought these in May 2020 and they are going strong nearly five years later! I’m so impressed with the long lasting quality. I haven’t even changed the batteries in them and they still look as bright and flickery as they did brand new.

   Ok, these lights are awesome! First they look amazing and bright & realistic as flames from about 2 ft away, closure than that you can tell they are fake but still Look cute! Next on average in the summer they last about 9-11 hours but in winter it’s more like 6-8. The plastic poles & stake provided are almost useless, mine started falling apart and breaking quickly after purchase, maybe I was to rough? I placed some directly in the ground and some in pots. Honestly I would recommend getting pvc poles or metal poles and spray painting them black then placing the light fixture which has a short stubby pole attached that fits into the longer “pole” instead. After 6+ years and out of a package of 4 purchased, 1 died because I mistakenly placed it under the eve of the house where water dripped down on it so it died after year 2. The next lasted to year 6 where the sun got it and the solar panel on top fried with plastic melted. The remaining 2 are still going strong like the day I purchased them. To me for the cost and reward that’s a win. I have since purchased more but I Hope this helps others!

   I really wanted something free-standing, but these were too pretty to not purchase. I improvised and tied them to my upper deck with rope to provide a nice form of lighting. Several neighbors have given compliments on the design. Truly satisfied with the purchase, and it only took about 30 minutes to get all four lights secured, and it has stormed multiple times and they hold firm.

   I’ve had these solar powered torches running year round for several years. I had one that didn’t light up a couple nights so I thought I needed to replace it and bought 4 to have on hand. Well that light came on the next night. I think it didn’t get charged because it didn’t get enough sunlight.
   I say this because they are quality solar lights that are long lasting and the flickering lights are so realistic and will set a cozy environment for your deck or garden or pathway. I bought the upgraded style.
   You can adjust their height which is a plus.
   The poles and spikes are made of plastic so becareful with them. They can break if you force them into hard ground. Make a prep hole for the post to fit into. I put them into my flower pots on my patio. So lovely at night. I’d recommend any of the Tom Care solar lights.

   These torches are fantastic. The poles are plastic so be careful when you put them in the ground. But once they are in they are very stable and hold up beautifully to the wind and rain. I was worried about them looking cheesy with the ‘faux flame’ but they are really stunning around my fire pit. They are not really tall so pay attention to the dimensions but they are the perfect height near the chairs around the fire pit. The solar charge is amazing as they stay bright and keep going until 5 or 6am. They are the perfect ambiance for my patio area and I get so many compliments. We really really love these!!

    Have only had them a couple weeks but so far so good, add so much mood to the backyard around the pool. Easy to use, no maintenance like a traditional torch, just wish they kept the bugs away. Bought 8 of them, will bring them in in the winter in hopes they keep working, because other reviews longevity appears to be a primary concern.

    I first ordered these in June of 2020. I was tired of the outdoor torches that you had to refill. They were messy and only lasted as long as the refillable fuel allowed (not to mention the cause for concern with little ones around). I saw these TomCare solar torches on npcpsolar.com and decided to try them. BEST lawn and garden purchase I EVER made BY FAR! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them and can’t say enough about them. They are realistic looking, require no maintenance, and they are still as beautiful as ever 2 years later. I realize many people put their outdoor décor and furniture up for the winter, but these solar torches have been out in the elements since I first put them in our yard. They have been through hot summers and snowy winters in Kentucky and not one of them has dimmed or given out. Just be sure each torch has sufficient sun exposure to recharge each day. These still go strong even in winter months! (I’ve included a pic of them on a snowy evening.) When they come to you from npcpsolar.com, it only takes a matter of minutes to get them in your yard. All you have to do is snap the pole sections together for the desired height and stake them in the ground (all pieces included in purchase). If I had to make one suggestion to the company, it would be to maybe add one extra section of the pole so the buyer can have more versatility with the desired length, but what is included is sufficient. You will not be disappointed with these torches! They add so much beauty to your outdoor space during the evening. Since my first order in 2020, I have purchased 5 more torch sets and a set of the TomCare lanterns. We bought the additional sets to place in the yards of our Airbnb rentals and as perfect gifts for friends and family. (see purchase history pic) I got on npcpsolar.com today to order 2 more sets for birthday gifts to send to two very dear friends, and I am so excited to share with them the incredible lighting these will bring to their outdoor space as the sun goes down.
