I put this on a wood fence post by my back door where there isnt light. So nice to have quality reliable light every night without having to pay an electrician . only drawback is that the base is for a 6×6 post. so i put a block of wood on top of my 4×4 post to screw it onto.. looks and worked great.

I was very excited to receive this new lamp. It is very pretty and extremely easy to install. Unfortunately what I have found is that the area where I needed it only gets full sign early in the morning and that apparently is not enough to charge the battery in this lamp. If you think that simply being outside and being exposed to daylight is enough, you will be disappointed in this product. Unlike solar calculators, for instance, that can power up the calculator even in regular daylight, but not direct sunlight, that does not appear to be powerful enough to add charge to the battery in this lamp.
That said if I had a more direct exposure to sunlight in the area that I needed it, this would be a fantastic lamp because when it is fully charged, it is very pretty and gives off a bright light.

Very attractive light but the bulb is not very bright
