   I live on several acres, in an area that is basically impossible to fence due to how uneven & hilly the property is. There are also predators (especially during the colder months when hungry dogs, coyotes, etc are roaming around). One of my beloved pets went missing a few months ago, & sadly I have a pretty good idea as to what happened to him. Using an outdoor outlet or wiring electrical motion lights is basically impossible. So, I bought this set of solar lights, along with a few different brands.the clear “goo” you see on the borders of the light screen, is silicone sealer to prevent water from getting inside. We’ve had quite a bit of snow & rain this winter, & so far, so good! Pros: small, charge lasts for days, affordable for how many you receive, three settings (all-night dim, all-night dim to full brightness when motion is detected, no light to full brightness when motion is detected). Great for emergencies, too. Last summer, I really needed these for all the storms that caused power outages. I keep a couple of these inside for that purpose now. Cons: not as bright as the ‘Zookki’ brand motion lights, which was very disappointing. If you are interested in small, portable solar motion lights & want a brighter option with a very similar design, go for Zookki. That’s really the only con. First photo is the “dim” setting, second is “motion activated/full brightness”, third is just to give you an idea of the size.

   We have had these lights mounted outside at our northern Montana farm for 4 years and they continue to work flawlessly! One is out on the cattle guard post and lights up when you drive through at night telling strangers they are being noticed. The other three are on our outbuildings around the farmhouse and light up at night when going to the shop, barn or outhouse. In addition to battery life of 4 years plus, they have withstood rain, snow, hail and -40 degree temps in the winter. Great product!

   Added 6 to my backyard fence and 2 above my front door and they seem to work great! It should be noted that they give off a more bluish/cooler toned hue. I wish they projected a warmer toned light, but I can’t really complain! It’s only been a few days but so far so good! Easy to install, motion detection seems good, no complaints yet! I’ll follow up with updates as time goes on but for the price, these are fantastic and they do the job!

   UPDATE 9/29/23: I have had issues where it simply won’t light up. I scroll thru the different modes and only then will it light up. Mind you, the lights are placed so they are not easily accessible so no one is messing with the settings. It’s just odd that even with a full day of direct sun, sometimes it just doesn’t work until I scroll through the different light modes. Also I got 2 above my front door and that area gets sunlight throughout the day, but at night, the intensity is non existent. The ones in my backyard are so bright but the ones in the front barely illuminate the area. Not sure why. I even tried switching out the front and back units, but it’s the same issue; the front ones don’t seem to be as powerful, but again, they get enough sunlight during the day so I don’t know what the issue is.

   I bought these almost five years ago and they have been installed around my entry and sidewalk in the brutal Central Texas sun and have worked great! They are inexpensive, easy to install and provide good lighting. A really good value.

    I used these lights to light up my backyard. I have them mounted on wooden fence posts around the yard. They are easy to mount and the price is great considering you get 10 lights.

    I like that they have 3 modes – off/motion activated, always on dim, and always on dim with motion activated bright. I find the always on dim the mode I use almost exclusively as it creates the right amount of light. The bright settings are quite bright and would be good for poorly lit areas or as more of a security feature.

    All lights worked out of the box and no quality issues. I would recommend these lights to anyone looking for an easy to install lighting solution at a great price.
