   I was skeptical when I opened the package. Unlabeled box, no instructions. Lights are very thin, thinner than a strand of Christmas lights, and the panel is really small. But I set them out on my dock, and was pleasantly surprised. They’re facing east. It’s not all day sun, but they’re probably getting about 12 hours total, with about half of that direct sun. The panel is just stuck in between some rocks on my breakwater. The lights come on a little after dusk, but before full dark. They seem to work even if it’s been overcast or raining. They’re not quite as bright as some nearby solar post & deck lights, but they’re close, & the post & deck lights were much pricier. They’re certainly bright enough to see my dock at night. I’m not sure how long they stay on, but at least 6 hours. I like the color temperature. A little cooler than regular incandescent bulbs, but not so garish & cool as a fluorescent. I have no idea how durable they are, they’ve only been out a couple weeks. But given the price & how they work, I’d be well pleased if they lasted a season. I chose these specifically because they turn off (I want to keep looking at the stars!) & the on-off works fine. There’s a “mode” selector, but without instructions, I have no idea what the other modes do. I was just happy with whatever I got first, which is ever so slightly twinkly. I saw other reviews where the lights didn’t work all that well. Possibly being on the water reflects more light so they are more effective than in another setting. Or maybe I got lucky! I’m really happy with the lights so far, but I need them to get through the season. I don’t want to be out there stringing lights all the time! I wouldn’t be surprised either way, since one the one hand they do seem a little flimsy & mine are exposed to some dramatic weather, but on the other hand, they’ve been through a few storms already. *Usually* you get what you pay for 😉 but if these last a few months, they’re an exceptional bargain & I’d buy them again next year.

   I plugged them in when I received them and they worked fine. I took outside and placed along fence for some added lightning when my dogs are out at night. I live in Florida, so there is ample sunlight to charge. They stopped working as soon as they were up. I didn’t use anything to attach to fence, so I know I didn’t damage them during installation. They only work when plugged in! Don’t waste your money or time with these.

   Is great to mark off the perimeter of my tents guys lines while camping, the blue gives a nice soft light that’s easy on the eyes at night.

   Fully charged. Not bright at all. Was hoping it would stand out on the mountain but I doubt it. *Update* installed and on the mtn. Not horrible but not that bright either. 12′ high cross at family cemetery.

   I built a 20 x 15 deck. Wanted some perimeter lighting and some accent lighting in between deck boards. I used brand x originally and only lasted a few hrs even tho their solar panel was bigger, better new and improved for 2020 Do not waste your money….. BUY THESE,,, they are encases in the tube, are brighter and most of all last ALL NITE LONG. When it gets dark they come on. When I get up in the am before sunrise they are still on. These are by far #1 out these for solar lights.. I need 4 more to replace the subpar ones I originally bought from brand x…save yourself the time and money, GET THESE<<<<

   The lights are what I was looking for, a single strand to run along the bottom of the pool fence. Installation was difficult because the lights are wound around a single spool. Attempting to unroll and use them was both frustrating and laborious. I needed my wife’s help. It would have been easier had the spool been able to pass through the fence slats, however as this wasn’t an option we needed to unroll all 146’ which kept causing it to tangle and kink due to the spiraling effect of being wrapped around the spool. Also, there’s nothing in the instructions explaining what the 8 light modes are or regarding the remote which doesn’t seem to work. Other than that, once installed, I found a steady light mode so they do what I wanted them to.

    Love the lights. Have a hard time finding replacement solar panels or battery’s. Which is very disappointing. I love the look of my landscaping with all my lights

    Not very bright for Led lights and there were absolutely no directions in the package .Remote is very confusing and useless.
