The lamps are slightly concave on the top so rain water collects over the solar panels and leaves a white residue as the water evaporates restricting the sunlight and therfore the charge so the lamps don’t stay on all night. If the were slightly convex the water would run off

I just received these yesterday and installed them around 3pm. It was relatively cloudy, so I wasn’t expecting them to be lit for very long last night. It’s now 6:30am and was very surprised to find them not only still lit, but very bright! They are much nicer looking and better quality than typical solar lights. We’ll see how they last in the long run. But for now they’re giving a great first impression.

These landscape lights are BEAUTIFUL!! I’m very impressed with the look of them. They are taller than most solar lights I’ve seen which look more expensive and more like a professionally installed landscape lighting system. The height also allows them to be tucked into planting beds right next to plants and still be able to be seen and do their job. They are made of plastic but seem well made, and were easy to install. They are bright enough to illuminate the sidewalks in a very soft way, but don’t look overpowering or too blue in tone. Normally, I despise cheap solar powered landscape lights. They just don’t look good. But, these look wonderful! All six are working fine. This is my first night so we will see if they are still on when I get up at dawn. I will update my Review after I have seen how they handle our harsh Indiana weather and how they hold up with time.

These solar lamps are just what I was looking for at a great price. They lit up right out of the box. Assembly was easy, and you can choose a tall or short height. They put off a nice warm light and stay lit all night. They add a nice glow to the landscape in the evening and look nice during the day as well. They are completely plastic, so they may degrade in the Texas sun over time, but I’m ok with that for the price.
