I was pretty dismayed when I found the spikes in my package were all missing. I emailed the company and fortunately, they responded within a few hours. It turns out the spikes are -inside- of the poles, and you need to pull them out, then attach the to the bottom. After that, installation is a breeze and they worked right away. The light makes a very pretty starburst pattern on the ground.
That said, a lot of the plastic was already cracked, so I can’t imagine they’ll last long. The light isn’t bright enough to really see the whole path in the dark, but at least define the edges.
For a quick and affordable solution, I’m satisfied.

I have always had the worst luck with solar lights so eventually had hard wired ones put in some years back. Unfortunately one of the landscapers weren’t paying attention one day and cut the power cords under the top soil. He felt awful and it was an accident so I couldn’t be pissed. I went on a search for new lights since I was going to have to replace them now only looking at hard wired ones I saw these and not looking at the power source I was more excited about the design of the light pattern on the grass. Had found the ones I really liked after days of searching and my happiness went down when I realized they were solar. I am so glad I decided to give these landscaping lights a chance. They illuminated the ground just like on the packaging but best of all they have been continually bright at night holding their charge! In fact my neighbors had complimented them a few days after the were installed and ended up ordering them also. In my opinion these by far have been the best option I have ever purchased at any of my prior houses. I was impressed by how inexpensive there are and durable as well! Installation was a piece of cake plus now I can place them in different places if I choose and they definitely serve their function expectations!

Theses lights look really nice at night very bright. I don’t like how the top of the light breaks at the base easily. Base screw on is plastic and very poor quality.

I bought these Pathway lights last year. They look lovely in my backyard. In the late fall, I removed them from my backyard, took the batteries out of them and stored the lights in their original box until this spring. When I put the batteries back into the lights, they worked perfectly again. Batteries held their charge. Now the sun is taking over and they’re just like new. Remember to push the light into the ground with two hands using the black base and NOT the top of the light. If you take care of your stuff they will last.
