I’ve never written a negative review in 20+ years as an npcpsolar.com customer. These are great looking lights – for 48 hours at best. They drain the power from the 4 AA batteries, dimming immediately within the first 24 hours. By day 6 the batteries are dead. We’ve tried 3 different battery brands to no avail. Far too expensive a purchase to be changing batteries (along with the hassle of doing so) every couple of days. We have garland operating on 3 AA batteries that last for weeks.

I bought 2 of the battery lit 12″ globes and found that they were not bright enough. Especially hung next to my 20″ plug in globes which shone so brightly. I decided to see if it was due to relying on batteries by also purchasing the plug in version of these globes. As soon as I plugged those in, I had my answer! The plug in ones are definitely brighter!

I love my 12″ globe outdoor lights! They look beautiful and they are different – not seen on everyone else’s porch!! I plan to order 2 more. I ordered the battery timer style and they do take a lot of batteries for the 3 weeks or so they’re up. But using drop cords etc wasn’t an option. If there’s a downside, I guess this would be it for me. Otherwise I have no complaints! Wish I could have afforded the next larger size!!

Still working after six nights. Some reviewers complained about not lasting 48 hours. They must have left them on or had a different product. The instructions said to use three AAA bateries but it actually took four AA bateries. That may be making the difference.
