   The light is beautiful and looks great on top of our mailbox. It gives off just enough illumination to serve as a nice accent without blinding drivers, which I appreciate. However, assembly was a bit of a headache. It arrived partially assembled with vague and unclear instructions. I had to contact both npcpsolar.com and the seller just to figure out how to insert the glass panes and attach the solar top.

   To their credit, the seller did upload an installation video to the product page at my request, which helped a lot. Communication was a bit slow and not the friendliest, but I appreciated the effort to make things clearer.

   At this price point, I can’t complain too much compared to other solar pillar lights, but be warned—it’s not a simple out-of-the-box setup. It took me half a day to get it assembled and installed. That said, I love how it looks now that it’s up. It’s only been one night, so time will tell how well it holds up, but I’m happy with it so far.

   This post cap light is actually quite big. This is for more of a cement Pilar than your typical 4×4 fence post. You can choose to use a regular electric bulb or the solar option. Pretty easy assembly required and it’s ready to go. I would have liked to see the glass attached better but honestly it shouldn’t be going anywhere. It charges well and is pretty bright for a post light. I like the textured glass so you can’t see the inside parts and pieces. The metal is an aged look and everything looks well made. We’ve had it going for a couple months now and it is usually off by morning but it stays lit and bright at least for 6 hours but we usually then go to bed. When I ordered this they wanted $100 for it which I thought was a bit much. It looks like they came to their senses and lowered it to $70 now and that doesn’t seem bad. It’s definitely a step up from most solar lights and it has a remote that you can adjust color temperature, dimmer and timer settings. All in all it’s pretty fancy and it really is a beautiful product.

   Although this item is heavy enough and the design is nice, my biggest issue is that it took some time to assemble it. It comes both with hard wire ability and solar. The instructions do not explain what to connect were! I am a full time maintenance mechanic and I understand electrical systems so for me no issue. My other problem is the glass on one side already broke in half just after one day of charging the system. I went to mount the unit and the glass just broke. I saw last night the amount of light it puts out, so not bad there. I am just not impressed by having to build the entire lamp without proper instruction. Also not crazy about the glass breaking. So for now instead of putting it in a nice place it has a home near my chicken coop until water gets in it because of the broke glass! Buy it if you can build stuff but otherwise I would not recommend!

   This light is gorgeous. It is very big and is metal and made out of a metal that will not rust. You can wire this up for 110 V and put a regular lightbulb in it or use it as a solar light the four glass panels have a raised bump look through them, it was fairly easy to put together and it has a remote with three different light settings and a timer for three hours five hours and eight hours or just on and off at dark. This light is gorgeous and provides a perfect light. The battery life last all night if you go very good quality, material and performance, I highly recommend this light
